Why would anyone go for hook shot off the first ball they face. one has to know pace of the pitch in order to judge the timing of the ball coming off the pitch. Ash went for the hook shot of the first ball and got the leading end of the bat for a simple catch. When will this kid mature????

Ashraful is unlucky! Everyone can get out in the first ball. But it makes things worse with the chance of playing another Bangladeshi in the next match.

Ashraful got a golden chance, to stay there and playing a good innings to reach that tiny total. Misused!

Ash shouldn't have played that shot of the first ball. Truly pathetic!! He knew that he was carrying the countries pride and he threw it away. He just justified why BD players are not selected for these type of matches. I don't think he'll get anymore chances. Atleast that will save us some embarasment.

The thread topic is 'disgrace' it is indeed a disgrace but due to the fans and the player who failed to live up to the expectation.

When a cricket player goes to pull a short ball on his very first delivery, then you can't say that he's unlucky, you can say that he's stupid, foolish, immature, a baby etc.

I say that he's in the first eleven of our team because its Bangladesh - he wouldn't get a chance to play 55 ODI matches for any other test team.

I am not sure whether to laugh or cry?! who is the hapless one now? Just shows, we need to keep our emotions and aspirations in a sensible check.

PS: Zaheer Khan is a quality quick even if he hasn't had the best form coming into this game. Likewise, Ashraful is still a very promising aqnd capable player regardless of his golden duck here.

Well, then I agree. One should see the ball before playing shots in an over that already costed 2 wickets! Maturity is the main issue

I don't think Pilot is the best keeper in Asia !!! I am confused he will be ok when Sohaib, Sami will bowl !!! I respect the selectors who has selected the Asian XI !! They showed some formalities about taking Ashraful and Mashrafe !! Allah bachaiche ! Pilot k select kore nai !!! Otherwise it would be shame for whole country and Pilot himself !!!
