That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing Junaid as a probable powerhitter down the order. Since Zia isn't being used as a bowler at all, Nazmul is a better seamer anyday, and Junaid has more variety in his powerhitting, the idea may be worth a shot.

So my XI for the Scotland match:

1. Tamim (no designated role or premeditated shots, just see the ball and play the ball according to merit)
2. Ashraful (no designated role or premeditated shots, just see the ball and play the ball according to merit)
3. Shakib (multiple gears, possible virtual opener, strike bowler, possible opening bowler)
4. Riyad (multiple gears, middle overs bowler)
5. Mushfique (multiple gears)
6. Nasir (multiple gears, bowl him)
7. Junaid (powerhitter)
8. Mashrafe (powerhitter, middle overs strike bowler)
9. Sunny (strike bowler)
10. Razzak (opening bowler)
11. Nazmul (bowl him, opening bowler)
agree with this. no reason to play zia unless he's playing as an allrounder which he isn't, like you say junaid has a greater array of strokes, plus he's a specialist batsman so definitely give him a shot of zia isn't bowling.

Zimbos are definitely better than ireland and they proved that by winning the Tri-series. The point to be made is that Zimb are a test team with a FC structure, a proper T20 league with franchises and also a lot of experience.

I would not be so eager to drop Zia. He seems to have the ability to cleanly and consistently hit the ball, an ability not very common in the team. (Mash also has shown the ability on occasions.) The other teams will study his tendencies and try to exploit them. If he can adapt, Zia will stay in the team. Otherwise, let him begin the process all over again.
If we want to bring Junaid in the team, it probably will have to be at Ash's expense. (I don't think Junaid can hit SIX at will.) I don't want Ash anywhere near the ODI or the test teams, but he seems to have found a role in the T20 team.
No matter what we do, we need to sweep all the matches. I like our ranking and any loss will drop us.

Dear Suja vai,i do agree with u.Technically Ziaur did not look decent to me but he has given decent service so far.In this series so far he has done well and in Zimbabwe he was also not bad. May be sometimes he looks ugly with his style but he is a power hitter no doubt.
Team management also recommending him highly. In Zimbabwe in one match he was sent in #3 and in 1st match against Ireland team management sent Ziaur to bat before Nasir indicates management have hope on him.
As he is doing decent job so i am not interested to change him in exchange of Junaid.

power hitting really dont have to be technically sound, say pollard for example. However, id really like to see someone like russel in the team. Bowl 2-3 overs and finish the innings for us

It would be good to have someone like Russell in the BD team BUT unfortunately we dont. We have to persist with Ziaur. Give him the time to develop. Eventually he might stop blindly slogging which will be a massive boost to the team. Just be patient with him i say.

Batting first : Anything less than 200 is not acceptable

Bowling first: Must get them out below 100

200 is tough to get even against rank minnows...i would say anything under 170 would be a failure.

Why is there even any questions regarding Zia? He was the main accelerator in both the first 2 games and unluckily run out in the 3rd. He needs to play in all the games in this tour to see if he can perform this big hitting role on a consistent basis.

whatever people say about extra match.....I will say....this is a really good oppourtunity to make huge score in t20 ....espacially for tamim, ash, zia, nassir, sak, musy. Atleast I want to see some hundred...if possible.(tamim, zia, sak, musy has pure chance). And ranking,,,, i guess it will help us to see higher, feel higher, and demanded. so, great job by bcb.....thanks to m. kamal....he is trying his best to take bangladesh high....(akhon korleo dhos...na korleo dhos...amra bangalira ata vhaloei pari shudhu blame dite.....fact bujhar chesta korina.)

I don"t care about ranking......just make most of it.( from 3 matches).....hit biggest sixes....make huge total....sak need 5wkt...sunny will be unplayable...razzak should feel 17 again....ash need to show the world what he is capable of...musy need his form back...and tamim need to stop his nayok nayok vhab...and make 100, which will be the first bd player who made the ton in t20. so, i am seeing this instead of ranking or blaming m. kamal. I have to say, after m.kamal came to the bcb, bangladesh change lots of way.......like 6 or 7 new stadiums(2 under constraction), bpl, lots of coach in every department, he cried when we beat the india in asia cup...so he got feelings ...not only his position banano.....bhai....kaj holie holo. Ask your self....and tell me if i said anything wrong? bibker kase prosno rakhlam....

Wait, you guys asking to drop Zia because he is not BOWLING, and replace him with Junaid for power hitting? Ya. That makes sense. Zia is hitting well. Why drop him? It's not necessary that we use him as ALR, we already have Nasir and Riyad for that.

However, that link doesnt seem like a valid link. It just gives you a default DNS resolution page but has no contents.. not even a picture of a tea bag!!

I guess we will have to wait till match time to really see if Ispahani links really work or not.
With Nadim around i am sure if there is a link it will be available.
