This test is almost sealed for win and very less likely to roll into 4th day. I think Smith wanted to practice more against Pakistani bowling for better preparation & build more batting confidence. SA made 250 at 1st innings, which was also not a good score for a top test batting side.

To save Pakistan from an innings defeat. Because no one would turn up at second test if they enforced and bowled them again before the day ended.

Roger the rum man reported Joker was on his knees to new Saffer cricket board president Nenzani.

Didn't Yunus Khan ask to take away Bangladesh's Test status and give it to Afganistan ? He scored 0 off 5 balls. Well, we are not like big mouth Pakistanis. We won't ask to scrap Pakistani's Test Status but we will only ask them NOT to talk rubbish and non sense about any team in the future. That will do.

I'm tired of people of hearing this stupid rumor. Younis Khan did NOT say that. It was a Pakistani fan named Younis who said that Afghanistan are more deserving for the Tests than Bangladesh is. Do you really believe that a current player would actually announce that type of statement in public?

Hopefully SA lose so they learn a lesson: take every chance you have in winning.

LOL. In your dream bhai. This match's fate was decided the moment Pak were bowled out for 49 runs. Follow on or not, now this test is just a waste of time, nothing else.

Teams do not enforce follow on all the time. Perhaps that article is about not enforcing follow on and going on to lose a test match.

Pak is doing better in 2nd innings!

South Africa 253 & 275/3d
Pakistan 49 & 104/4 (40.0 ov)
Pakistan require another 376 runs with 6 wickets remaining

Well, it's SA-NZ all over again. Get demolished in the 1st inning and then get a respectable total in the 2nd.

Koi din por shuna jabei jei Dr. Yunus, as part of his diabolical master-plan to overthrow the state of Bangladesh and replace it with the Grameen Republic, was the actual progenitor of such a statement.

PAK doing good in second innings .. 184/4 is good. now they have enough time to even win this match...it difficult but can still happen.if that happens... its Cricket... one century and a double by these two in crease, will do. No bet though...

thats why i think it was a bad decision by SA to not to execute follow on.

I think South Africa will win this comfortably. The second new ball will be due soon and is bound to bring at least couple of wickets and then SA will be at the tail with bouncers

South Africa: The one team that never ceases to amaze me. If there is one team in the world who deserves to win any World Competition/The World Cup it's them, and yet they always choke in World Cups...

fierce batting lineup + fierce fielding unit + destructive bowling and yet they still manage not win the World cup...

as expected the 1st wkt falls two overs into the new ball. Now its up to Misbah and the inform keeper Sharfaraz to extend the battle for as long as possible. Gone are the days when visiting teams would get ample time and tour games to acclimatize to the conditions. Now people have to acclimatize playing the 1st test and then fight back in the second test.
