On a serious note... probably one or two broken wrists and head injuries

Losing Trott is a huge blow. This guy was easily England's 3rd best batsman. Now they lose their #3 which is arguably the most important position in the team. I imagine now their next lineup will look like this now.

1. Cook
2. Carberry
3. Pieterson
4. Bell
5. Root
6. Ballance
7. Prior

Its strange that England didnt bring any specialist middle order batsman. Lower order bowling all rounders are going to make the tail a bit too long for England now.

Ya they could go with those 2. Actually it's better if they push Bell up and let Pieterson stay at 4.

Yeah pietersen at 4 is best and I would think bell but maybe they won't push him up, I think he may have already had an unsuccessful run at 3...could be wrong.

None the adjustments will work for England for a simple reason: Mitchell Johnson channeling his inner Lillee.

Johnson with his new look he appeared to be a beast and off course adding his vicious bowling.. English are chewed here like chewing-gum by him.

I can't believe two of England's great players are stuck with DPL - Morgan and Bopara - either could be a replacement for Trott!

Reckon ballance will turn out to be e terrific international bat, a real shame he doesn't play for Zimbabwe, they sure could use him.

That's true, Harris has been very consistent lately and has been quick too, though that's been overshadowed by Johnson's pyrotechnics

Harris would've been a lot better had he not been so injury prone. The guy is just a beast. That's something I love with the Aussie pacers. Their attitude to take batsmen heads off. Not like the majority of the sissy pacers India, SL, BD have.

Johnson bowls better when he has other quality around him and also when the spotlight isn't on him i.e. he's not the spearhead.

He seems like an intense but sensitive person. Good thing is the pace attack of Australia's is usually the strong suit. All he really needs to worry about is just bowling within himself and go bowl.

the gap between every Ashes Test match is equal to the gap between every new series for India.

I'd back Australia to get over 400 from this position.

Ya I think they'll score between 400-450. Tough test coming up for England without Trott

Not been following this ashes cause of the time and work. Dont follow much of Eng at cricket in general anyway, because I love, and prefer my motherland (Bangladesh) at cricket and support them more . But I do support England especially against Aus, India and Pakistan, England are my 2nd team!

Anyway, England needs to bat out the 3rd and half of 4th to save this! Pitch seems flat England are class will bounce back!

The slaughter continues, as expected. This will be known as Johnson's Ashes.

This is why I love cricket.
