Ruin? I wasn't being sarcastic, you guys are doing well in the warm up to the test match. Giving one of our domestic sides a run for their money. Well done!

Does St Kitts' have any good bowlers that can be compared to those playing for the national team? How about the pitch? Is it anything like the pitches the test matches will be played on? I'm curious to know. Just don't want to get excited for nothing.

This team can't be taken seriously. A lot of these St. Kitts players have never even played FC cricket. And I wonder what the team is still doing in St. Kitts when the first Test is in Sabina Park in Jamaica where pacers are known to get assistance. The WICB are just messing with us it seems.

This is exactly what "practice matches" are meant to do, remember both times NZ got whitewashed they barely got any practice.

Hmmm, looks like the great St. Kitts and Nevis team giving your bowlers some trouble here.

4th wicket down. Riyad has 2, taijul 1. Wouldn't put much stock in it as none of these are first class cricketers.

Apparently riyad, Hom, taijul, and rubel all have 1 wicket each. Rubel going at 6 an over. Why is he in the test squad? Tapash would have been a better pick.

rubel should be far away from the test squad, a ridiculous selection.

73 overs bowled and only 4 wickets! At this rate we won't even get 10 wkts let alone 20 in the test match

this is why the batsmen need to step up, they actually have what it takes to make good scores, the bowlers on the other hand have never had that ability bar a couple of bowlers here and there but that just isn't enough you need everyone in your bowling unit to be at least decent to put any sort of pressure on a test nation for wickets.

shakib, and taskin when he's ready will be a start, maybe with al amin and robiul we'll begin to have more solid bowling performances in tests and if we can find a decent 3nd spinner then it will be a solid unit. still won't be the most destructive bowling unit but they should be good enough to get 20 wickets at least from time to time which is more than the current attack is capable of and if the batsmen actually stand up like men and not boys then that will be enough to start winning test matches.

the development of mominul and anamul is going to be very important and the continued development of mushy, shakib, tamim and nasir is also key. at least one of those batsmen from here on out should be scoring a hundred every test match (not not just one then two). it's not as if they aren't capable they just need to knuckle down consistently and then the tons will come, problem atm is they don't knuckle down very often so the tons are rare because no matter who you are even if you knuckle down every innings you won't score a ton so you've got to play the odds, knuckle down every innings and then the tons will come more frequently.

i think the batsmen to move BD forward are :

mushy, shakib, tamim, mominul, nasir, anamul, shamsur and hom. they are the main ones. that's 8 batsmen to fill 7 spots, 3 of them can open (tamim, anamul, shamsur), probably about 4 of them could bat at #3 (mushy, mominul, anamul, shamsur) and all but tamim could slot in below #3, it just depends on how certain players develop and which order will work the best.

there are obviously other batting talents but i think with proper development all of these mentioned could be successful test batsmen and all of them are currently in the squad. they've all got the talent to average 40+ in tests, certainly 35+ and it would be a let down if they don't come good on that. riyad's pretty talented with the bat to but for the moment he should focus on his bowling more than his batting.

Agree with your assessment except Shamsur and Hom. Hom the jury is of course out. I watched him for only a few deliveries yesterday and have to admit he looked class, but 4-5 deliveries is just that many. Looking forward to seeing Hom play and if he gets his cap I will root for him. If he does well I can admit I was wrong about him. Hopefully that is the case.

Last few years - ie currently - Shakib, Mushy, Nasir, Mominul have all been averaging 40+. We won't be playing much in England, SA, AUS so those conditions are kind of irrelevant unless were making comparisons to the Kohlis or Williamsons of the world. Tamim could be in that list as well. Even in his recent 'crap form' since 2011 he's averaging 31.69 with 6 fifties from 26 innings. That's not shabby for an out of form player.

The thing is the batsman in the top 7 all have it in them to score centuries. We need a couple of them to do it for us to get to a good 1st innings score
