Tamim
Litton
Mominul
Riyad,
Shak
Mushi (WK & C) (Won't change so why complain?)
Nasir/Sabbir
Taijul
Jubair
Shahid
11. Open to fast bowler (Roy, Mustafiz, Abul whoever has a brain and can bowl according to a plan)
ODIs
Tamim
Sarkar
Riyad
Mushi (WK)
Shak
Nasir
Sabbir
Mash (C)
Rubel
Sunny
Taskin
I would really want Anamul to open and Sarkar to bat 1st down. Injury can't take your place. Plus Sarkar is too aggressive. 1st down would be perfect with opening spells seen off. That means Nasir gets an axe for now. If Riyad fails another series at home, he needs to be rested and make room for Nasir.

Pretty good teams, though I'd prefer a specialist keeper in tests. As much as I'd like liton to open in tests it would be rather unfair to drop imrul at this stage.
Riyad may surprise me and good on him if he does but I think in the long run we'll probably see nasir or sabbir taking his spot in tests (with a specialist keeper taking the spot at 7).

Leave the odi team alone for the time being please. For the first time there is some top order stability. Riyad had an off series but certain he will bounce back and against Indian seamers he will definitely be more at ease. Having nasir in the team strengthens every department giving us flexibility and a stronger middle order in case of collapse. Bijoys 2 innings in ncl is now her e near enough to rush him back in don't fix something than ain't broken.
Tamim
Soumya
Riyad
Mushfiq
Shakib
Sabbir
Nasir
Mash
Arafat
Taskin
Rubel
As for tests this will be a long 5 days no doubt. Again baffled with the inclusion of Hom over Gazi. Mustafiz needs to debut no point bowling 20+ overs in ncl and not blowing Inna one off test match no better time for a debut for a young pacer. I'd have gone with Gazi again it would have strengthend every department. By nope selectors are clueless. Play Zubair and Litton with gloves. Let soumya prove himself in domestic before playing long format for the time being let him concentrate on short formats and rubel sucks in tests let him play short formats.

I guess statistically Sohag Gazi looking great in BCL. But as a whole he still bowling poor like before. Mr.Faruq sees them directly from the field. He knows what he's doing.
Here is a article about Gazi, AlAmin, Razzaq and Faruq.

we needa learn to persist with players. Sure Anamul hasn't been great recently but he is our player for the future and we needa show some faith in him. I dunno about tests but in odis he can be an asset if he learns to rotate strike more easily.

How can anyone who has seen Razzak in the last year or so want him in the side? His time has passed. He did glorious service to the country but it IS time to move on. Shakib now plays his holding/negative bowling role in ODIs while Taijul has taken on the attacking role that Shak used to play. Done.

Did I do that? My bad. Forgot about Imrul totally. My revised test squad would be:
Tamim
Imrul
Mominul
Litton/Nasir/Sabbir
Riyad
Mushfiq (WK & C)
Shakib
Taijul
Jubair
Shahid
Roy/Mustafiz/Abul.
Obviously if Litton is not picked then everyone moves up and Nasir/Shabbir bats @ 7.

The best possible team anyone can pick. There is no point touching the ODI team after they won the series 3-0. So pls our so called experts leave the one day team alone for the sake of the result. As per test team is concern I think Liton deserves a chance. And what better way to play him other than as a keeper as we have no other place available for him. I know the team management is not going to pick mostafiz but I still think he can be the best weapon we can use.

how to improve a lot? can u show how to do that?
piles of runs in both domestic and international is not improving.

Jubair is a must in the Test. Nasir too in all formats. Soumya should cut his teeth in the ODIs and T20 only.
Shakib should get ready for the Test. T20 cricket has totally affected his bowling. He definitely should play more FC matches. otherwise, it will be a massive waste of an immense talent.

Agreed on Nasir and Soumya.
For Jubair, it must be decided by the head coach. 20 over 100+ runs would not be good for his confidence if the opposition wants to take him on. You know our captain and how much on the fly he can think and put fielders in the right area for a leg spinner to succeed. Against Ind batting lineup I am not sure.
Shakib understands that and asked BCB for preparation type games (before the Pak test matches) to the board to get back to the bowler he was in test.

Jubair is a tough cookie. I am sure he will not be easily ruffled -even if he goes for runs. He must play.

Selectors must be confused with the test team. Lack of experience, not having a proven eleven for tests, SS & Hom puzzle, pacer puzzle, spinner puzzle, fitness ... It's truly confusing to them. More over, from Mirpur test against Pak, looks like they really don't know what kind of pitch will be on offer .... Just hope they get that combination right...

Jubair should have been included for the Pakistan test series so that by now he would have had some overs in and confidence. Indians are traditionally good players of spin and they will feed on the inexperience

No Al Amin. Wth! He was one of our best LOI bowler in a poor year that was 2014.
What stays outside cricket should remain outside. So what he has prolly misbehaved once. I just can't understand this.

This is only a preliminary squad. All the selections are justified IMO except maybe the exclusion of Al-Amin.
Sohag was known to be a lazy player so if he is still like that then I guess his exclusion is justified.

Strength and conditioner coach is happy with their progress. How do you come to that conclusion?
Pull-ups are all about practice. I could do 10 with my right hand only. Obviously I was very light at their age.
