This captain we have is incapable of leading with his bat. Though I hated Bashar's captaincy, he usually led the team with his bat. There was a time when he was a guranted fifty every time he came to bat. Ash is nothing near that. I will seriously think about giving the leadership mantel to the most consistent player of the team - MASH.
I think captaincy to Mash will really ignite him. Not sure about his intelligence though..but surely not below par relative to ash.

Do you think ash will be demoted after this series.

This shows BD's absolute inability against quality pace, the leggie CL White gave away most runs at the rate of 5.6 even in a low scoring of 117. Wonder what wud have happened if Bracken, Clark and Johnson weren't rested but given the 1st 30 overs to bowl? BD wud have crumbled much earlier scoring close to or even less than the lowest? All concentration shud be to prepare our players how to play against quality pace!!

mash or even shakib should take the captaincy, ash just shouldn't be anywhere near that title.

relatively speaking 43 is over half of the 74 they made in the last match so in that regard it's a big improvement, still bad though.

At least he can demand from his players. Ash simply can't the way he bats and leaves him at no position to demand. Mash is a bowler first, and has an advantage in that regard. He can always come back after a bad ball, unlike a batsman. Actually, for a weaker team, its always better to have a pacer/all rounder to lead, if he is good compared to everyone else in the team.

well yeah, atm mash is really the only one in the team who can truly lead from the front, none of the others are consistent enough.

No batsmen are consistent. None can claim to have authority. Mash, by our standard, is probably the most consistent cricketer, and since he is a bowler, has no burden in terms of runs gathered.

Like our boys, we are clueless too, don't know what and how to fix our problems. I think Siddons should go for vacation for ever from next year and any of our deshi coach would do much better for couple of years. I am clueless too.
