I play like Rajin because like him, I lack the basic talent to bat. I sight the ball after just before it reaches me and offer a straightish bat in defense with dangerous footwork. I block half volleys and full tosses, and get bogged down like a dead weight getting heavier by the minute. Now the accidental cover, on, off and straight drive notwithstanding, I lose every war of attrition and take my fellow batters down with me.

That said, did do well on the fluke a couple of times a lifetime ago. Never did well with one-timers in hockey either, but had a decent enough wrist and snap shot, and a pretty heavy and accurate slap shot from the point. I Gotta have the puck, in this case the ball, in order to hit it effectively. Have it come at me, I need to control before shooting, hence the Rajin-esque failures ...

I can bowl all kinds medium pace, off spin and even leg spin. My batting is ok, I have a rock solid defence and would have made a perfect test batsman. I am also a tremendous batsman chasing a score and can play exact to the situation.

So, I ve none similar to me like in Bd team or anywhere in world cricket.

Think in batting I'm like Dravid off-form.. can defend like a wall, but can't really score runs that fast. I think I can block any ball, under 85 mph, and my temperament will be of Steve waugh. Once I batted with broken finger for 20 overs ( x-rays revealed the break later).

In pace bowling, I'm also like Steve Waugh, underrated. I once took 4-33 off five overs with 3 missed catches by fielders. They were top 4 wickets after openers scored 96 in the match. Funnily enough, I didn't get a bowl since. Hence changing teams and playing in a different city this year.

Guess I'm Steve Waugh then. He lives like 10 min from my place too....

(also have excellent flight in spin bowling , but ball doesn't spin..lolz. Enam style..)

When I am facing a medium pace bowler or a spinner, my batting stance becomes more like Ashraful so I can play more extravagant shots. If I am facing a true fast bowler, I become a lot more compact, just like Mushy. This is to make sure I don't get beaten by pace. I love playing with a straight bat and I like to punish fuller deliveries just like Tamim. I used to play a good sweep shot but recently, it has failed me a few times. I am working on mastering the paddle scoop.

I am a right handed batsman, and most of the time I open.
I am a total blend of Andrew Strauss and Tamim Iqbal - Total mirror of the shots the play, focus the give, movement and all.
