Mossadek get MOM ahead of Saeed Sarkar? I know Mosaddek bowled well but give some credit where its due. Saeed came to bat when we were 86-6 and this guy smashed everything out of the park and ended up scoring 83 in just 66 in a track where pretty much every one struggle to bat

I think it was the right decision, we could have defended 100 runs, I am pretty sure.

lol, He stayed longer when it was needed. He got two wickets. He deserves the MoM.

mosaddek basically built the BD innings, they were on target for a very poor total until he came in and made it possible to score 200+, he then went and bowled 7 very economical overs which included 2 wickets. he may not have scored as fast as saeed sarker but he only scored 6 runs less and his innings was probably more (at the very least equally) important, plus he bowled extremely well.

True. And sometimes the bigger name gets the award. Saeed is still a newb. Lets see how he develops or if he's a one-hit wonder.

Also where was Chanderpaul? and why did they decide to leave out the the best pacer in the squad (Ray Jordan) who gave BD hell in the Caribbean? why wasn't Aaron jones and Brian Chrismas picked for this?!!..two batsmen who are very good against spin!!..it's crazy!!.
having said that we're hearing that some of the lbw decisions given were an absolute joke!!..i did fear the BD kids over the top appealing could be costly for us if they are in home conditions!!..oh well!! .
in closing the pacers need to get a grip!!..our spinners seemingly have the BD top order under control but if the pacers can't utilise the new ball it's worthless!!..oh and the batters will once again need to look at themselves!!..200 at this level seems to be 400!!..it's madness.

1) Chanderpaul is too slow to make an impact. He's too slow even for a chase of 220.
2) From what I heard, umpiring was pretty poor against our team in the Caribbean a couple months ago. Payback, most likely, is a byaaach.

Windiesfan should stop bashing his own side.

The boy takes his time and builds an innings...that's what this crap team needs right now because too many of them are "hitters" and when your game is based around that unless you're in top form you're gonna get out early.

Well i watched the series and both sides got poor decisions!!..not to mention your keeper knocking off the bails and claiming it was out batsman...which was given out!! .

As i've said before the bottom line isn't the result here!!..it's how many of them manage to step up to senior level and like i said after the series in the caribbean i see plenty of them doing so. But still it is annoying when you see kids make the same mistakes over and over!!..we expect better from our youth teams who in recent times have beaten australia, sri-lanka, india, pakistan etc!!.

I'm honestly surprised there's even a tour going on right now with the country's state. Wonder if the Windies will continue to stay or will go back.

DHAKA, Sunday, 08 December 2013
Media Release
BD-WI second Youth ODI shifted to Monday
The second youth ODI between Bangladesh Under 19 and West Indies Under 19 scheduled to be held at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong today (Sunday) has been shifted to Monday (09 December). The venue and match timing will remain the same. The rest of the itinerary of the seven-game series will be unchanged. The decision to shift the second match was taken after discussions between officials of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and West Indies Under 19 Team management in regards to security arrangements following an incident on Saturday evening near the hotel where the teams are staying.
BCB Director Akram Khan, who has spoken to officials of the West Indies and Bangladesh teams and local administration in Chittagong said: “The security agencies have assured the players and management that there was no risk to their safety. Nevertheless security measures will be reinforced further as we will not compromise with matters that concern the well-being of international teams. The West Indies Under 19 side have expressed their confidence in the arrangements and it has been decided that the second match will get underway tomorrow.”
The BCB wishes to reiterate that it attaches paramount importance to the safety and security of the West Indies Under 19 Team players and management. The BCB and the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) have been working closely together over all issues related to the Under 19 Team’s tour of Bangladesh. The BCB will continue to communicate and coordinate with various law enforcing agencies in ensuring full-proof security during the tour.

The country is in a messed up state and BD team would have withdrawn as well if they were facing the same situation.
BD is now worst than Pak as far as the political arena is concerned.

The West Indies Cricket Board has withdrawn its Under-19 team from the ongoing tour of Bangladesh, following an explosion near the team hotel in Chittagong on Saturday.
The WICB tweeted confirmation of the same on Sunday evening, saying: "Acting in interest of safety & security of WI U19 team WICB has decided to withdraw the team from tour of Bangladesh."
The board also tweeted that the team was still at the hotel with "added security", while travel arrangements were being made for them to fly out. http://www.espncricinfo.com/banglade...ry/698641.html

Not surprised really and a good decision taken by WI. The country isn't in a state to be hosting tours. I'm surprised WI even came.
