Not only does it cost us a wicket, but also a review. Could it at least have been given an umpires call if the 3rd umpire had doubts?

Matches are conducted by incompetent people. Several poor decisions are made and despite using technology they can't cancel out the errors which is why the said technology is used in the first place. How do they even miss things that are clearly caught on Camera. Glenn Phillips was caught off a deflected ball from the cable of the spidercam against England. That was supposed to be a dead ball. And then come to this match that was clearly not out. The whole thing is a joke.
