I think it's 30 runs too many. 250-265 runs are tricker in this sort of pitch. 290+ score will just give the the WI hitters a little more boost to go after the bowling, as they are chasing a high score. So in another words, based on this score, they are 15-20 runs short.

I'd have been lot more calmer with a 250-260 score. Now I'm nervous. Gayle waiting for a fiery inning.

It's an easy pitch to bat on. If Gayle gets going, we're toast. Can't afford any hanky panky from the bowlers. There's turn on offer, so hope the spinners can utilize that.

Did anyone else cringe every single time Shamim called Anamul, "Amanul"?

I was rooting for Anamul and Mominul since beginning of this series , if they were in test eleven our batting would have solid and we could have drawn both the tests.

a great innings from anamul actually, he held the innings together allowing the team to get where it did. had we had nazimuddin, sn, junaid, imrul etc they probably would have fallen much earlier, at least anamul anchored and was stable, then he gave us a good 20 odd runs after his century that probably not many others would have been able to have done in such a space of time.

How many times have we complained that we didn't have an opener or No. 3 who could last that long?

And what about the other players? Why did they not go after the bowling while Bijoy dropped anchor?

Maybe we're just too used to seeing quick half-centuries which are 'gutsy' and not experiencing the ebb and tide of a well-made century.

Bravo Anam, I hope this is the first of many such performances
Bhai if they think that Anamul's innings was selfish than let them. No pt of wasting your team trying to change their minds. It'll just get you more mad

This pitch is great for batsmen. Our bowlers need to keep it tight.

wow, it was really difficult reading the last few pages, so many idiotic comments, ffs it was a 20 year old's second game and he still rescued the game but gets abused for being nervous in the 90s,

+1 Even if it wasn't his early days I would still say well played given our standards of loosing too many wickets all of a sudden and here we have people not caring to give some slack to this kid who just scored a century in the second day he debuted.

Well the important thing we can conclude from this innings is that we have a very good score plus more importantly, our specialist bowlers are still fresh.

After Shakib returns:
Tamim
Anamul
Nasir
Shakib
Mominul
Mushfiq +*
Riyad

Probably the best ODI batting line-up we've ever had.

This has to be one of the most matured ODI first innings knock from Bangladesh.
Early jitters were handled very well by the two set in batsman, build a very good partnership, launched from there, then again two quick wickets, two new comers though took some time, still settled things down only make things up in the last 3 overs.

Very well played boys.
Now its upto the bowlers to follow the suit.

Take Gayle and Samuels early, this match is ours.

He's a special talent for sure. Does he need work to do? Absolutely but what a great start to his career.

this the story of BD.. the guy who saves your face gets all the criticism ...Just see what his selfish innings did to our team total.. because of Anam's good innings everyone was throwing their bat at everything at the end... People should learn to be grateful

Great batting by Anamul though could have speed up a little bit but neverthless for a debutant his batting was a gem especially after Tamim threw away his wicket. I am worried about Gayle now.
