In deed.
I hope all our bowlers would be fit to take out the English....

You are right - the English won't be able to avoid the Tigerwash.

From what I have been hearing, it seems that none of the associate teams will be playing, I think that at least 2 should be in, the way it was like the last time, this is really bad, cause these teams will not get any exposure to the stronger teams.

A Tigerwash would be great. But, personally, I will be more than fine with a 1-0 win.

Like wise. A home test series win is more than enough.
But on the away tour, I would be happy without conceding any losses and building up stats of our players on english soil.

ACC changed its mind again - Asia Cup won't be held in Malaysia, it won't be held in May either.
Quote:
The 10th edition of the Asia Cup will, after all, be held in a Test-playing nation — in Sri Lanka, most probably, or in India, between June 15-25 next year.
The Asia Cup, by the way, is going to be restricted to the Big Four. “There will be six matches in a round-robin format, with the top two teams meeting in the final,” Huq informed.

*Looks like Syed Ashraful Huq loves to piss off Asian associates. He also told UAE not to bother sending a team to Asian Games T20 competition

Don't forget we got practice matches on England on 3rd and 5th July.
So, in May-July, team's fixture looks like this - To WI for T20I WC, then to England for the Test series (including practice matches), then to whichever country holding Asia Cup, and then back to England for ODI series (again, including practice matches). In between two trips, they will get a week rest at best. BCB better be ready with plenty of replacements, there will very likely to be too many fatigued players!

can't agree with this guy's minnow bashing stance.
minnows should be getting more exposure, not less. now no one is going to miss the likes of UAE and/or Hong Kong, but should an actual decent ODI side (Afghanistan are the only ones) qualify, they should be invited to the asia cup similar to us in the 80s and 90s.

How about a two team-theory?
It has been discussed in the past that we don't have a strong enough base to produce two separate teams for ODIs and Tests, but situation demands for it.

Yes! Even we have enough "chhokka" players to make a T20 team now.

Let BANGLDADESH ICL players to perform in the Asia cup, if west indies second string squad can play for ICC cup, why cant we play ICL as Bangladesh back up team at least its better to have a team rather than no team

Ashraful should be the captain then. He can be in two separate places simultaneously.

Pakistan's problems are its own doing. If they were able to protect the SL players, other countries would not have refused to play in Pakistan.

Are you kidding me? If we beat England in the test series, all of Bangladesh will care. MCC will care as well; you can be sure that heads will roll.

According to BCCI, the Asia cup is in June. The 2nd test concludes on June 8th for us and we don't play the ODIs till July.

It will be good if BD plays, at least, they will get a bit of practice before the ODI series against England. Are any Associate Asian teams playing? I thought that Afghanistan, HK and UAE might have a chance here like the last time.
