I was recalling that when people started complaining about our batsmen getting out "after a start"; it was only a few test matches back that only 3 actually went into double figures ! How expectations grow and rightly so.
Only 1 century and 2 fifties !!

BD team management have sh*ts in their head. They always drop the player who played well in the last match and retain the one who did worse in last few matches.
They always follow this trend. Don't know why. Probably they also believe in EID. This time Eid-ul-Shahadat!
Robin is a good bowler. He's better than both Mash and Shahadat. Shahadat is a fluke!

Getting a six-wicket haul vs South Africa in a sub-continent pitch with incompetent (at times) fielders is no fluke. Everything else he has achieved is though.

i agree, robin is much better, but i don't know for what reason team management are thinking about dropping him in the second test......simply don't get it........

I am hoping that BD scores at least 250 runs in the first innings and avoid a follow on. From now on, they should concentrate on getting SL out cheaply in the first innings, so SL can bat again.
In 2007, in all 3 tests, SL only batted once and amassed a massive score, BD lost all 3 matches by an innings, and could not carry any matches into the fifth day.

If it is true that robin has lost his place to enamul for this test, then I agree it is unfortunate, but probably the right move. i've been very impressed with Alam's bowling, he bowls a tidy line and is far more responsible with the new ball than Rajib. However, he is still young and has plenty of time to develop. in Chotto gram we need two full time spinners. Shakib is obviously number one, enamul deserves a shot at being number 2.
Enamul hasn't set the Ranji alight with his bowling for Maharashtra, but he has bowled plenty of overs in a competition that is of a higher standard than the NCL. If he takes wickets, great, but for his selection to be justified he only needs to be economical and tye an end down while Shakib, Mashrafee and/or Rajib take wickets at the other end. If he takes a five-for, all the better.
As for Mahbubul, I look forward to seeing a lot more of him in future. I'm sure we will...

I'm hoping some kid/teen will see mendis perform and be inspired to be like him, and hopefully we'll have our own bangla mendis .

Can Ashraful break his rein? CI: his highest run after scoring a 100/50 is 26 or so! Seems he is going to start another bat patch! someone from the top and middle must play Ashraful's part!
