Nafees sucks. Put him up against Gul, Junaid, Wahab and he'll end up with another broken nose and a string of streaky 10s and 20s. A 30 if he's lucky.

Primary target now should be to reduce the deficit under a 100. That's 51 runs with 3 players with some batting ability still batting/to bat. So it's very achievable. Nasir, Shuvo and Rajib should now be hitting the indoor nets batting until it's dinner time.

That brings up a question, do players practise immediately after leaving the field ?

ian bishop was commenting on how bishoo was bowling in the nets right after the games.. and he stressed how he saw it with his own eyes

Yup in the first Test I remember SN, Mushy and some other guy padding up at the end of the day's play instead of leaving the field.

Take the high scores, and you will see that most of the Bangladeshi players can bat, and even Rubel can (although statistics don't show it).
Around 300 can be achieved with the right application Inshallah.

the only other change i would consider is bringing subashis into the line-up.
Definitely, I will have one pacer short. No point taking someone bowling at 75-80mph unless he is very accurate like Rasel was. That means Shahafat droppped.
My team:

Tamim
Junaid
Nafees
Mahmudullah
Mushfiq
Shakib
Naeem
Nasir
Sunny
Shafiul
Rubel

Rakibul has to go for the same reason as Imrul. Only one 50 after so many tests. Unless either hits a big one in the second innings.

Kirk Edwards scored his 2nd 100 in his third test. Nothing flamboyant but has put his side in a commanding position.

This was my fear in making Mushy the captain. Make no mistake, I want Mushy in the side - as a batsman. Supposing Mushy had not been a wicket-keeper, he would have batted in the top 6 and another player, possibly, Dhiman would have played as WK.

I have been saying this for a long time, Mushy drops too many catches and misses too many stumping chances to be a TEST wicketkeeper. You can get away with it in a 50 over match. Even Dravid used to keep wickets in ODI's. Sangakarra hardly ever kept wickets in a test match.

Can someone tell me why Sunny was not used in this game? When you have a baller take 6 wickets , you drop him ???

Sakib's taken 5, Sunny could have greatly helped with the ball.

Tragedy for Naeem, but those saying Shuvo can bat...

What the hell was he doing playing that shot, 1st ball. I don't think he'll hang around too long tomorrow.

We nearly turned a disaster into a real positive,

59/5 to 200/6 but then that last wicket ruined us
