BD is playing HK on the 24th January for the start of the Plate Championship, all the teams in the groups which are third and fourth are playing each other. I hope BD will clinch this as a consolation prize, seeing that they are out of the super league, so there are still more matches to be played.

Someone needs to give him a big kick on his behind.

It is important that someone kicks him on his behind, before sacking him.

Good point. Winning attitude is very important. After watching the fiasco in two straight U-19 WC, the team does not strike me as one with winning attitude.

You are correct about how day 4 ends. I hope you are wrong about the rest. I really hope...

But Anamul and Mahmudul have bright futures ahead. I like Mahmudul's batting. He knows how to rotate the strike and is pretty orthodox. He also bowls old fashion off spin and is a good defensive spinner.
Can't really blame nannu though. he can only work with whatever he has in front of him. I'm actually more pissed with losing to the WI than this one

Even if I agreed with everything you said, Bangladesh still had no business losing these two games, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

This goes to show the juniors are as good as senior and vice versa.

WTF!! How did we lose this!! 52 off 20 balls!? I can't believe it. They choked big time. They should've beaten windies and they should've beaten pakistan!

Amit Majumader scored 36 off 68 balls against pakis and 14 off 43 against windies! What a ***! Does he think he's playing a test match or something? He's the reason we struggled in our chase against windies and had he either got out or scored faster against pakis we would've had enough wickets in hand to take the score to 280!

Sometimes such inning is needed in ODI's, but not when he batted. Even if he was trying to hold down fort on one end, he should have kept the score moving with singles...
Although this is only U-19, this complete lack of maturity does not bode well for our cricket future. Heads need to roll...

there are prospects in this u19 team, anamul haque, mahmudul hasan, abul hasan, shaker ahmed, shabbir rahman, alauddin babu can bowl fairly fast. even amit M was one of the leading run scorers last season in one of the domestic comps so he may of had a poor tournament but he must have something to him.

I just realised that they messed it up for the next U-19 batch as well. Since the groupings are done on the results of the previous tournament it means that in the next World Cup we won't be seeded and will be in a tough group with two other Test nations. I won't bother following the plate championships...couldn't care less if they won it.
These players from the current team should be eligible for the next tournament as well: Anamul Haque, Nurul Hasan, Shoumya Sharkar and Abul Hasan.

I know that you fans are ticked off by these narrow defeats, but after all, it is a game of cricket. i am very sure that the lads are feeling real bad, but based on the draw for the plate Championship, they will win. last time WI was the lone Test nation knocked out of the super league and they won the plate. They will be playing india in the first QF and I am pretty sure that india will beat them.
India, pakistan, South Africa and australia will be the top four, cant tell the order. Was'nt BD one of the top 4 teams in last WC?
