Really hard to take what I've seen, will be harder for the boys. Even though this will hurt a lot, this loss will make them stronger and hopefully wiser

There will be many more battles to come. Congrats to India for their nerves, something we can learn from. Best match of the WC so far for us

Keep playing more T20s. Keep running the BPL. A year from now, we'll win matches like the ones vs Aus and India.

We definitely made big progress in this format. Before AC and this WC (bar the Pak game), we never played well in this format.

Gotta commend the boys for the spirit shown in this game. We should take the positives from this game, not focus on the 1-run loss. There'll be many more such scenarios in future. Shake it off. Regroup. And pummel the KIWIS!

Freaky loss.. as much as india wanted to give you guys the game.. to put it as subtly ... brain f**t ..

dhoni kept his cool, removed his gloves and ran up .. but what the heck was Riyad thinking ? everyone else did their job.. soooooooooo close.

Really feel sorry for you guys, this would have been a big soother for BD after Taskin fiasco ..

The worst choke ever in a WC match. I feel for Bangladesh.
This was my worst choke so far, this one is at par -

Today morning I watched this video and thought what happens if this repeats today. It did!!

Only 1 way india could win this match only if Bangladesh hit the ball on the air. 3 ball 2 run i ever seen any team lost like this.

Idiot mushi why do need to hit the ball on the air

I hate to rub salt in the injury. But, today I really wouldn't want to be in the shoes of BD fans. Really, this was crazy dumb performance in the last over. The guy trying to hit sixer of full toss when he needed two was absolute joke. No reason to lose. BTW Indian team has done many such dumb things in the past. They do it every now and then even now. So, fully understand how fans would feel. Sorry guys.

Dhoni should have been man of the match today. THe last ball druing Indian batting he ran for 2 when there was only 1 but the throw was on the wrong side.. That run all of sudden is making the difference.

Stumping of Sabbir was a stunner.. he took the bails off exactly at the right time..a few milliseconds early or late sabbir would have been safe.

Planning of the last ball... everything spot on.

It's a shame that Bangladesh lost but i can't hold it against the boys becuase they came this far to begin with. I am happy though heartbroken but happy....

A lot of things have gone against Bangladesh this tournament....many forces were against us... we were never able to field our best 11 even once in this tournament.. we had to qualify for this event... we had to deal with ICC's nonsense ....multiple injuries... Mental pressure...despite all this we have done exceptionally well i think.....

I was mad on the last game only due to body language but today team spirit was PERFECT. Thank you Bangladesh.

I actually hope India goes far. this will prove Bangladesh if they always had the best 11 should not be in the bottom of the table... rather in the top.

I think I'm suffering from depression. I need to go to a doctor. Mushy and Riayd should pay my Doctor's fees.

Still trying to convince myself.

Even trying to see it from an Indians perspective.
Team Ind beat BD twice in Dhaka, started the WC as favorites but loses to BD at home and out of the WC ?
Tommorrow is holi, how heartbreaking it would hv been ?
It would have spoiled the festival( holi+ WC)

I know many of u would not agree with me but sometimes looking things from someone else's perspective can help.

Lock this match thread. Don't wanna see this ever again.

If we ever win any WC then and only then unlock this. This way we can relive the pain and enjoy the glory. This will be a reminder for future generations of the heartbreak we endured.

This will be BC's time capsule.

We won't see winning WC in our lifetime. But our kids needs to see this.

Future generation, dekho dekho koto koshto ar dukkho shoisi amra.

I guess someone has to be the lone defender for Mahmudullah.

Dhoni said:

"...at times you look to finish it with the big shot... when you are batting well, you go for your shots. Its a learning for Mahmudullah. That's what cricket is all about, If that had gone for a six, it was a great shot. Great courage. That's what cricket is. I feel before you play the shot, that's when he has to decide."
------

My guess is that Dhoni would probably have attempted something pretty similar in this situation i.e. if it's a slower bouncer/back of length (like the last ball was) then play it down and take the single (on a better pitch he'd turn it down even). If it's yorker/full toss, then go for it.

I dont think Dhoni would have especially when its 2 off 3 balls or something. He would defintely have had done that had it been 4 to win from 11 balls and theres a risk factor difference between the two. I've seen plenty of finishes from him over the years and in crunch chases that go to the wire, he prefers to run like a bull.
