If no. 3 and no. 4 fail, it's tough to get defensible score.
I hope Mahmud would stay as long as possible.

Bangladesh Under-19s 87/5 (21.0/46 ov)

That's shocking. Very poor indeed.

Bangladesh Under-19s 113/5 (26.5/46 ov)

From 68/5 it's a good recovery so far. This pair need to play a long innings, since they are set now.

Yes looks like these are sporting pitches.
210+ would be a good score.

Poor Sumaya Sharkar got a golden duck on his debut. I guess sending the newbie as the one-down was not a smart move.

It was never any one's clain that our U-19 has a strong batting line up that was as good as India, SA or Australia. At the age group, our team has traditionally been very strong if not amongst the top 5.

Do look at the scorecards of the last 3 series.. None of the series did we see consitent batting from the top or middle order. The Haques ( be it Mominul or Anamul) are playing one series good and the other series off..Mahmudul is scoring medocre 30-40s. It has been the all-rounders and pacers ( especially Abul and Alauddin) that has been winning the matches for us.. Not to mention the homeground advantage against England, Zimbabwe.. unless the batting line up improves, we will always be the chokers who wins series after series before the world cups but never could reach the final of the tournaments..

154/5, 36 overs. Captain has scored 60 off 64 balls, great knock!!! good solid support from sabbir too. lets see how much these two can add in the remaining 7 overs.

Dhakablues, I think you are being overly harsh to Anamul. Currently he is holding the all time best average, 35.3, among Bangladeshi batsmen at U/19 level (Shakib 35.18, Tamim 32.77). This boy may very well turn out to be the next big thing for Bangladesh cricket.

A 200+ score should be competitive enough for a 43 over match (which may be shortened further if it rains again).

I think they need 230+ to have some chance of winning.

Absolutely unnecessary putting pressure on the debutant.
