I haven't watched but I agree, 0-130 on the green top? You gotta be effing kidding me. We'd be 6 down by now.

This is because we are not as big as an Afghan or a Roman gladiator. You're quite a simpleton RazabQ for not being able to internalize such pertinent matter.

BanCricFan, those two positions are not mutually exclusive. Our club attack struggles the same way as the BD team. But I would classify my club's attack as nevertheless more threatening. Why? Because we have these big burly Pathans and Punjabis who in between all these bad balls, can still produce that brute that smashes your stump, or pinks your ribs. Basically physicality will let you get away with indiscipline. Puniness leaves no margin for error.

Poor shot from Braffit was expecting another century from him today. Ah well I hope the debutant sticks it out and make a 100+ at least against this bowling.

Sakib has brain & attitude to be a captain. Musy is too soft & clueless on real time.... After this series i want to see sakib holding the rope for us before we downfall too much.

Thank you. Shakib akhtar can pitch a half tracker at 90 mph and get a wicket or hit the helmet. If Vaas did exact same thing he'd more than likely be pulled for 4 cuz he bowled 10-12 mph slower. Same track, same delivery, same batsman. There's also psychological factors.

Apparently a rubbish ball wicket from Shafi, deserved it with the earlier edge I'd say.

But "punies" could be more than capable of putting 6 good balls together -right?

Poor decision by the umpire there to give Johnson out. He should have reviewed though.

No because punnies are less likely to have the stamina required for the job. Otherwise ever puny would be a Vaas.

As I said before, the two positions are not mutually exclusive. A test attack, regardless of pace or RPMs has to be capable of building pressure.

Asaad, every puny could be like Vaas if they put in the effort. To continuously improve.

Could easily have been 153-4 with our crap bowling. Our batters are going to really be in for it when they come in.

Of course. But the law of averages indicates majority of punies will either be lazy, injury prone, or face nepotistic selection bias (Nazmul). In the end probability of us finding a Vaas is 0.01...finding a Wasim 0.0001. I'm optimistic Taskin will become such a diamond.
