Tampa win their 6th in a row and lead the Caps 3-0 with game 4 coming up in Tampa. The way they came back down 2-3 in game 3, coupled with the Caps mediocre defense and goaltending, I'm smelling sweep. Tampa's defense on the other hand, Ohlund-Hedman-Brewer AND their forwards backchecking with gusto, have been performing well beyond my expectation. No way the Caps are coming back here. I'd be surprised if they win even one!
Nashville reminds me of the Cup-winning Devils sides from the 90s, a low scoring team built on great goaltending, solid defensive locks and clutch GWGs from defensive forwards and defensemen from point. Not terribly exciting to watch but efficient, effective hockey that's a nightmare to score against. 1-1 after 2. Relishing the great battle between 2 AMERICAN defensive forwards from Michigan, two of the best in the game. Both Legwand and Kesler also have goals tonight.

St. Nick ties it with seconds left in the 1st, his 2nd of the series and 52nd career playoff goal. HUGE momentum and morale boosting goal in this must win game. Heatley got Kronwalled and that set the tone early.
We're looking better than the first two games where little things edged the Sharks past us 2-1 each time. They're not beating us to the puck as often so far. An overly aggressive PK cost us the goal. Setoguchi and Pavelski sure switch to a higher gear whenever they play us as BJ, Marleau and Couture look ordinary. Howard has looked great as usual and Bertuzzi useless. I don't see how Babcock continues to play him over Modano for the life of me! Anyway, gotta shoot more in the 2nd and the 3rd. The Sharks have outplayed us in the 2nd in the first two games, only Howard kept things close, and simply can't let that happen tonight. Boston's doing it to the Thugs 4-1 and Tampa looks set to deny Ovechkin the ultimate glory this year also, 3-2 there. They're a great team with exceptional O/D balance. Roloson's a very decent goalie with a great D playing in front of him, making him even better. The Ohlund-Hedman-Brewer smart-wall is very tough to penetrate. Goes to show how good the starless Pens really were to push them to game 7.
