It seems the pitch saved the Windies batsmen in the last game. This time round there was just that little life which snuffed out any resistance or semblance of a fight from the Windies batters. Bhuvaneswar swung both ways, looked impressive. Seems really underrated.
This brings another thought to mind. BCB can we play the Windies now . I would fancy our chances against them.

I disagree. The Sabina Park pitch is the most result friendly pitch in the West Indies. What actually saved wi in that match was the rain, and the flawless application of batsman ship by Chase, Dowrich, and Holder.

I think west indies made a blunder from the first test to the last test by not including the one batsman who was comfortable against India in the practice matches.
Now with the series lost, the selection panel have roped in him.
Hope I'm talking about.

A few days back when India was getting at SL, everyone was thinking that they should play SL next. Now WI ...
I would say better stick to England. They are no better in subcontinent.

Looking at the preview for the final test match...it looks like India will be sticking to the same 11.
West Indies might be bringing back Devendra Bishoo at the expense of one of their quicks....still no Hope (Shai) in the eleven....Marlon Samuels haven't done anything spectacular or consistent...I'm surprised that west indies still persisting with him.
News of the Queens Park Oval Will be dry and spin friendly.....might be a Short match given india's spinners.

Windies pitches have been disappointing to say the least. And I also couldn't help notice the overgrown slow outfield. Don't know what they were thinking here.
Also the exclusion of Shai Hope after his 100+ in the first practice match till now does not make any sense at all. That said he did not fare well in the second practice match against India, just checked that he scored 11 and 17. So, they might have had their reasons. He should have been given a chance though.

West Indies have won the toss and are batting...only change for them is Bishoo in for Alzarri.
India have made two changes, Vijay in for Shikhar, Pujara in for jaddu

Bhuvi keeps on bowling the outswinger again and again, and the ball is getting the edge but falling short of the slip fielders

Johnson and Kraigg are being watchful...The conditions look ideal for the seamers...cloudy and the ball is moving around move than expected...

50 up for WI after 15 overs..with 2 wickets down...key thing is to build a big partnership..no sense in batting for so long and not turning the score over.
correction..2 wickets down

If this final match is drawn, India will go 1 place down on the rankings to #2, Pakistan will then be the new #1 Test team in the world.

Day 2 completely washed out.
The sum was out in all its glory, but the outfield was so saturated that it was deem unfit for play.
If only cricket boards could take page from the groundsmen in SL. They cover the entire field, that's a system that works.

Funnily enough, I think Pakistan's might be short as well. They have a tour to Australia incoming, and looking at their track record it might be a massacre, while India has some home tours coming out which could be easy white-washes

India, I I think...have a massive home season coming up...17 tests...it's good timez...pakistan and India..
Kinda like those rivalries in the 90s.
Either way, I'm a happy cricket enthusiast

Gains a whole load of ranking points:
#1 allrounder...438 points,
#2 is Shakib with 384 points.
