I think last innings he was doing fine with ball as well with the bat. But today haven't seen the test live, so, no idea what he was doing there. People seems here really pissed of him. But i am sure he is not as bad as tushar imran. I think he needs to be given due chances, if our beloved sharapova can get many chances after giving away the asia cup, why not him.

In tests it's difficult if you have a all rounder he is good at nothing.

What did he do with bat in the last match?

Don't agree. Naeem has a severe lack of talent. What we are getting from Naeem is may be his highest output. On the other hand Hom have better foot work and Better reflex than Naeem.
Any way most important thing here is bowling ability. Home is a better off spinner than Naeem and he got the spot.

neither deserves the spot. at #8 you pick a specialist bowler. neither of them fits that bill. they are just bits and pieces player at best.

Agreed. He in not a bad bowler. Where legends like Shakib were struggling to bowl good in this wickets, what can a part timer do? To me question should be whether to take a 3rd seamer or a full time spinner. Here his role is an all rounder. As an allrounder he was best from the left options and he got the nod. Team strategy gone in favour of him.

No doubt he is just a bits and pieces type allrounder. The thing is Haturusinghe wants an off spinner in the team and ban of Gazi gave him the chance as we don't have any off spinner option than Gazi. Last FC season he did good with the ball.

Here we are talking about someone who doesn't have any stock delivery other than regular offspin. Riyad has been doing good as a part timer. What's the use of having another part timer with lower quality?

We didn't need him in the XI, Riyad could have easily done his role

Wishing him best of luck. He needs to score big to save this match. This is a big opportunity for him.

Hom has a chance to show his worth tomorrow and needs to score a ton. Or he goes Home for good and plays domestic for the rest of the life

Agreed. Add tushar imran to that list. Technically Hom doesnt seem bad, its the mental aspect you mentioned. And players like Siddique, Tushar, Naeem Islam, Alo Kapali, all did have the certain potential in certain formats they suited best ; but never went on due to mentally being inept against International cricket teams.

Why is everyone so quick to judge Hom. He just started out his international career jeez. He looks like a solid prospect with the bat.

True, Hom's selection is bit early to be judged however, it does not mean he has to be picked every Test match regardless of pitch conditions and not considering the best team combination.
There was a better option available to pick up for this Mirpur Test. Sometimes people can not able to pin point the issue.

Batting wise nayeem is far better than Hom. Nayeen should be included in Test squad. However, I think Hom is a better bowler.

With the ball, regardless how disappointed you are with Hom, the fact is he is more productive than all the bowlers so far except for Taizul and Shahid.
With the bat he is still unbeaten in this series with one try... so basically TBD.
Yes we have problem in this team, yes we could have taken someone instead of him, but he is not part of the MAIN problem that we are facing in this TEST series...there are plenty of them, and upto know Hom is not one of the problem in the team.
Before Hom, other players need to justify their inclusion in this series.
