How can I put a member on ignore list? Can we have this feature like in chat or facebook or any other sical networks...so we dont' deal with them in futue.

I wanna put layegg on ignore so he doesnt' look for muy address in future... that guy is NUTZ!

Yes I take internet very seriously. That is our biggest problem, we don't take each other seriously enough. There is no respect here.

I am contemplating using the post/time ratio to downgrade someone's "title" - Any other bright ideas to improve the signal/noise ratio?

Better yet - how about dispensing with all these freakin' titles at all.

I don't think "titles" are the reason why some members post a lot. I think even if you get rid of the title, you would still see time to time a member or two will get addicted to this forum and post religiously nonstop.
The "spam" problem that you see is not a forum problem but a problem of human nature. Having said that I like to see how your first idea plays out (I think it's a bad idea because it will create the same multiple logins problem you were mentioning just few days ago, also many of our quality members bursts into the scene with very high number of posts initially ie Miraz, chinaman most notably Sohel_NR and gopal/zeeshan and etc

btw I think we should let people enjoy their stay here as long as they adhere by the forum rules...Why should post count matter? And quality is subjective - sometimes I find one liner about mashrafee's inablity to bend much more enjoyable than an orthpaedic essay analyzing his knee injury.

I'm sure most members who post here so often mean well in the end, so it would probably be a bit draconian to start getting rid of things altogether.

Perhaps these titles should come with the length of time a member has been with this site as well as the number of posts. This way people can still post to their hearts' content but their titles will be unlocked only as time goes by. i.e. a member becomes Cricket Legend after one year in BC with X no of posts. Just a suggestion.

i think thats a great idea.. that way people would stop spamming.. well, they wouldnt atleast be encouraged to spam cause of just increasing their post count and becoming a goru or sage..
