Everybody is busy with CYA.

They have a good scapegoat (not that he is blameless at all) to lay all blame on. Just a, as the Western news media identifies him, junior functionary of the ruling party and quite dispensable. The other local criminals they moneyed owners who not only own the factories but also own the political parties, the police, the local governments et al ad nauseum will skate away just fine, thank you.

Because if one falls - they all well and they will make sure it won't happen.

Some of the commentators on ABC Radio were suggesting to stop buying clothes made in Bangladeshi factories. I called and took part in the or air conversation. Tried to explain to them that not buying Bangladeshi garments is not the solution, we need little more pressure from the buyers to the owners of those factories to improve working condition. I don't understand how people can be so naive to think that refusing to buy clothes made in those factories will solve everything.

Don't you think that, that's the pressure they are applying on the government and BGMEA or other associations to ensure it centrally. It's a difficult and lengthy process to ensure through the buyers. Why would buyers take that extra responsibility to fix our problems? Yes the central policy makes are building pressure through policies.

Govt and relevant bodies should now act fast and assure the buyers of ensuring it and satisfy them with actions. That will secure the industry and it's workers interests...

On the 17th day under the Rana Plaza rubble, a female RMG worker still survives!

A female RMG worker has been traced alive inside the rubbles of Rana Plaza on the 17th day into the eight-storey building collapse.

Rescuers traced her on Friday afternoon.

Rescue team is trying to pull Reshmi, the female worker, who was spotted inside a mosque at the basement of Rana Plaza, out from under the rubble.

She has been given oxygen, water and biscuits.

I am curious to know all these as well. Hopefully she will get some strength back in next couple of days and we will hear everything from her. I can only imagine how happy her family and friends would be now.

just learned from somoy tv from her own voice that she got some bottles of water here and there inside the rubble to drink may be the ones of her co workers, also she was able to breathe without inconvenience.
And the reporters and volunteers said that as she was trapped between columns she was able to move and even up and down through a staircase which actually helped her to relax. She got some dry foods and also water bottles from the other dead peoples around.
From bbc i heard that she was eating her lunch in these days that she carried with her..

Well there was a press conference from army and he said that a man claimed to be her husband but the girl refused him to be

You are talking about large corporate buyers, but the majority of the factories of BD, never works for them... So it makes good sense to work through the government and BGMEA etc.
