I'm gonna find Junaid on Facebook again, add him to my friends' list, give him a piece of my mind - like old times - for dropping catches and doing squat with the bat and drop him from my friends' list, again.. We shouldn't harbor sissies in the team.

So I went to sleep after our 174-run innings thinking that well, at least we'd won the series 3-1. Imagine my surprise when I woke up to find that we'd completed a 4-0 clean sweep. Congrats, team, fans, and coaching staff.

Al-Hamdulillah we accomplished it !! I went to bed at the end of BD innings with a fear!
When woke up to pray Fajar , was speechless to see NZ batting 171 for 9 , the next ball,
a perfect yorker and the rest is the HISTORY!!!! Then I prayed and gave Shukrana to ALLAH(SWT). Mashrafi's injury was blessing for us. Shakib really guided this young team in every aspect of the series----- it was a repeatation of WI tour, though much weaker than
this NZ side. So for the sake of BD and the upcoming WC without reservation SHAKIB should lead the TIGERS!!!!

Mali - Even tho I like Masri, Shaks a better captain. I think we needed him to get the captaincy (when god writes the script, we can't change it) so BCB can see what a lot of the fans here knew for a fact.

Shaad - Is that Humayun Ahmed? The reason I ask is cause if it's you, one of my Mama-in-law looks like you (or HUmayun) and he lives in Kensington, minutes from Bethesda.

No, he is still a Kufa. Just an equal opportunity one -- as effective against the Kiwis as he is against us.

Tehsin, it's me from when I was in grad school. The current incarnation has considerably more grey hair from seeing our team play before this series.

@shaad-da

This game had more twists than a pretzel. It wasn't after all about just win or lose only but how it was done. Pure cricket! You missed it.

Can't pull all-nighters and still function seamlessly like I used to -- boyesh hoyechhe-to. I'll just watch it later on ESPN3.

Truly phenomenal. This is simply a dream...and now that has come true.

Having said that...I really can't care for this as much as playing consistently against top opponents and winning 1 out of at the max 3 or 4 games with them...with the other ones losing after a good fight. I will take this BanglaWash as a definite sign of that...and we must continue this way and not let it loose.

Congrats Tigers. You've put a big smile on all of the fans' faces

An alternative is to move to a more favorable timezone.

Historical match winning thread but find it very difficult to say anything positive since they scored only 174?! [damn it]. Not everytime our sorry a$$ will be saved like this. Cant just help but thinking worst moments are just around the corner.
