I happened to attend a party three months back where I encountered a similar experience. A lecturer from one of the US universities in Dubai came to Dhaka looking for a potential bride.

And his mom was complaining that they weren't getting any suitable partner for their son. And asked the other guests if they knew someone and to hook their son up. The other guests asked the boy's mom, "Your son is handsome, a young man and a lecturer abroad in an US uni and is well paid financially. Why the trouble?" The boy stepped in and said, "Uncle, I want a fair, tall and a modern girl who is willing to come with me to Dubai and someone as beautiful as Katrina Kaif. Since I'm fair, I don't want my wife to be dark toned"

But I don't like the.fact that everyone is making fun of OP. Obviously his thought process is little assorted but he is entitled to his opinion. We can obviously point out where he is wrong but should refrain from saying stuff like feel bad for your wife or you probably never had gf or talking about his dear ones..That's malicious and no one deserves to be treated like that.

Making fun of him may earn you fame here in BC but in the process you'll forfeit your benevolence...

Couldn't agree more. Some of the posts were a bit too harsh. I tried to edit out as much negative stuff as possible without losing the message yesterday from my posts. But subsequent posts made by other members were far worse than my initial edits.

I will write a post, sometime today after I get rid of my wife, in somewhat of a support for crisis' core principal for how an ideal muslim girl should be but he attacked way too many aspects and people that the message got lost.

who is he kidding, attacking middle class families when most of us here are from middle class.. that's not smart at all. His post would be recieved much better in a different forum i reckon.
