suhwardy shuvo because is a real man unlike ash...

or salma khatun because she is 100 times the man ashraful can ever be....with all due respect to her, she has bigger kahonas than ash - she bats with extreme patience, plays long innings and scores high, bowls off break with extreme accuracy and unplayable turns with unimaginable economy rate of 1.2 per series/tournament and she bowls at her target batmen like a marksman in a shooting range and suffocate them as they die one after another in her sharp turns...she takes attacking and sharp thinking decisions and lead her team with courage and gritful desipline and look, she is only 17 years of age....! May Allah bless her. salma khatun precisely proves that even in a poor delta called bangladesh - responsible, strong, admirable, highly respectable human beings are born and are regularly kicking good dust(in your face ash)...

but in this poll, i voted for shakib

Ashraful. No one in the team is ready. Giving it to Sakib or Raqibul would ruin their careers. Mortaza is injured too much.

At least someone sees some sense. The captaincy is a massive burden and one that nobody else would be adequately fulfil. Ash should definitely keep it by default

Captain should be a team member who is an automatic choice in any kind of pitch for the selectors. If there is more than one automatic choice in a group of players argument comes into force who will be captain. In the current bunch of national team players I think the following players are automatic choice:

Sakib al Hasan
Mashrafee Mortaza
Mushfiqur Rahim
Tamim Iqbal

I didn't include Razzak in the above list as in the just concluded series we found that in an all pace friendly pitch we can rely on Sakib as a lone spinner. Otherwise he would've been an automatic choice as well. The others who are inclued in the poll except these above mentioned players should be excluded. Given that Mashrafee is much vulerable to injury than any other in the list I'm excluding him from the candidate of captaincy. Tamim has never been tried in any version of the game as a captain. Thus I can exclude him as well. From the remaining two who you want to choose is a question. But if yoiu take the age-concern into consideration then I would like to go for Ash again because it will save us from ruining any of these two's career very early. Lets wait for the maturity of these two

Had enough with Ash, he could be the match winner but he is not a good leader can take us forward.. look at his woeful captaincy and batting record, when will he bounce back..after 5 yrs..We need to come out of our shell and let the right person do the job otherwise losing is imminent..

I voted Mash but his injury worries me a lot.
So,unfortunately Ash is our only option.
Sakib got the intelligence to bcme a captain but it's too early now.

i think mushfique is a good choice, he is not going anywhere. after all he was a successful captain when he was in under19 team.we need to change ash and give him some relive so he can perform in batting.....

i'd like to see Shakib be a captain 3/4 yrs. Not now. He's in early 20s. Few more years and experience in tests will do wonder for him. He's automatic choice in ODI. So he can be captain of ODI in couple of yrs. My vote goes to Tusher Imran. This guy was/is captain of BD A team for a long time and hopefully he will make runs and get a chance in tests.

i voted for tushar imran. he was very successful as a captain for Bd a team and have experience of captaincy. But only problem is his place in the national team is not even fixed.

mash---injured too much
sakib--- will ruin his suuperb career
nayeem----too early
razzaq--- can be a goood choice but his test place is not fixed
mushfiq---has some experience but it will be too much pressure

i think Best option will be bashar but his batting form is very questionable and he is banned

The situation is an ideal মাইঙ্কার চিপা. We can not go permanently with a dead wood, once in a blue moon A$$TheFool but at the same time we could not take chance on the career of Sakib/ Mushy or put more pressure on mentally fragile Mash. I am actually at a loss what to do. One way me be taking chance on Tusher (hoping that he could translate his NCL league, A team form in international match)

Bring back Nafees, S. to the BD team and make him captain (if BCB could manage BCCI!!!)

No on in the current BD team (and DW team for that matter) has the kind of brain and mentality required to lead a test playing nation. I have benn watchin cricket since 1998 and since than I have never seen a BD captain who made a difference in the game by his brain or mentality.

Excellent captains like S. Waugh or S. Ganguly or N. Hossain can not be bred. But sensible captains like M. Vaughan or Inzi can be trained. Once we get a set of competent players, we can train one of them to be oue captain. May be we can hire a "captain counselor" who will specially work on building a captain. That's the best I can come up with at any rate.

Then Nafees will be under pressure like Ashraful and he will be doing the same as Ashraful. So the best one is to keep Ashraful as captain for 2 more years then we can decide.

Ash needs to take a break and focus on his batting. His ODI and Test average is very shocking and even he knows it. Why promise to fan if you can’t keep it..
