I like your bowling recommendation... Rubel is an excellent bowler with older ball. I would however replace razzaq with Mosharraf...

I would bat Ash and Jahirul for opening followed by mushy... and have Anamul for middle order as someone else suggested.

Series is failed for us. Without Shakib-Tamim its not possible. Its better cut the optimism, where we can hardly draw the series now. Stretegy should be No more injury and save your energy for another tour which will be harder coz we cant afford loose any match against Zimbabwe. Cricket world allready know being a test nation we are weakest & talentless in pace department and we cant hide it anymore. So yeah Mosharraf should help Rubel from any more sweating in SL. For Zia & others who got in this squad luckily, I would say just to loose presure & treat this match as a prep match, coz playing with the #1 t20 side next will be a high stake match than this one. I want Shamsu there for a must.

We've talked about this. And some agree with me in surrounding Ziaur with 3 spinners, Shohag,Razzaq and Mosharraf.

Others seem to stick with Rubel in the line up.

no, i want to go for shahadat, he is getting married soon just after the sl series, there is word called "lucky charm" at least you got to have believe in him in his crucial time just before marriage..

Haha, okay. I have love for Shahdat, but after seeing how Zia can maintain his line and length without too much effort,I have become spoiled. I want every Bd bowler to forget about pace, or even hitting the ground hard, and just focus on their accuracy.

When Mash comes back it would be interesting to see him and Zia open the bowling. They are like twins in terms of body figure.

Nice thought but I don't fully agree. How much energy can you really save by tanking one match? LOL. Yes, by going easy, there is the possibility of staying injury free. But are you telling me they won't have to deal with the same things when it's time to face Zimbabwe?

The series is not lost. I believe what's even bigger than not injuring anyone else, is to win the 3rd ODI. That would give us more motivation than any other single factor to do well in the Zim series. Not having all of our best players is not a problem. Afterall, how will the Shamsus of this world get a chance in the team otherwise? I hope you get my drift.

seriously speaking I liked the idea of going with one extra batsman as the XI we had for the 2nd ODI.
Although I would prefer Mosharraf instead of walking wicket Ash to strengthen our bowling attack.

The strategy to win this would be to outscore Sri batsman, we have a good batting line up, if batting first we need to score 270+,and bowl economically, if bowling 1st then somehow restrict Sri to 250.
I'd prefer chasing a target even if it is 260.
