The trouble with the Perth pitch is that they used to prepare it with a certain type of clay that gave the surface it's phenomonal tennis-ball bounce. That type of clay is now very difficult to find and is only available in certain parts of South America. They've been using a different type of clay as an alternative, but as we've seen, it's just doesn't have the same effect.
In fairness though, the Perth pitch is still one of the fastest in the world.

Toss is absolutely imperative now, guys. Inshallah Ash will win, and choose to bowl.

That explains. Thanks. I thought it was a deliberate attempt. Where did they source it from before? locally? or from South America? Not feasable anymore?
It still is the fastest. Agree.

Honeymoon period for AK. Ash is assertive and vocal, and had the Mamun group within the BCB as his ally prior to their resignation last night. Ash's move with Abir was understandable, his current insertion of Golla instead of Orion is totally baffling. He is understandably dazed and a bit confused. Poor kid, admirable strength though. The crap he's going though ain't easy to negotiate for any 22-year old, let alone a kid from Bashabo with the collective expectations of 150 million plus on his shoulders. Someday he'll look back at this and laugh. I can't wait to watch him during his peak years between 27 and 32.
