F.ck all rounders.
You hold your place as a batsman, or as a bowler. And if you can do both, I'll call you an all-rounder.
English cricket wrecked itself for twenty years looking for the next Botham. Dont make the same mistake.
Ian Whitchurch, who can name two Australian all-rounders (Miller, K and Gilchrist, A. And Gilly earned his as a keeper/batsman)

What is true for tests, is different in ODI.

shakib is doing both, so is naeem and mahmudullah in the present team. and they are consistent for last 1 year or so.
yes ODI, team will be balanced with allrounder and only with allrounder.
do u know. how easy is now to select our main XI--that credit totally goes to some allround ability.

flintoff showed lots of promise himself
england team selection is very erratic. they have no consistency in selecting players.they are more interested in importing players and destroying other team combo, specially Ireland (example-- Eoin Morgan,Ed joyce, boyd ranking, list will increase)
SAF recruitment--KP, jonathan trott, strauss
asian indian/paki origin---monty panesar, adil rashid, bopara, owaish shah, sajeed mahmud. samit patel---more in the list)
england is doing fine in recent years.

Wiseshah,
Maybe. But the time between Botham and Flintoff saw the selection of a lot of cricketers who could neither bat not bowl well enough to win a Test.
And, yes, I dont care about One Day Cricket or 20/20.

Its very difficult to make an algorithmn due to most of the players r non national team player.First i made a point table for then from their career. Now i am just making it up and down by tournament by tournament. Its biased thats for sure so i need help and criticism from all of you to make a refined one.

Use WEIR as a base and build on top of it.
