Thank You Ziaur Rahman for saving us from the Abuls, Shahadats and Rubels. Hopefully you will keep them out of the team. If the selectors says there are no better pacers than them in the country anymore then they should get a gonodholai.

Couldn't follow the match, but looks like the line length and variations were impeccable from Zia. Proving again that pace isn't everything while phaast bowlers would've leaked runs by now. Good job!
Especially considering how many were so against his inclusion in the team before

It was really a great performance by him as kept it tight, was patient and eventually the Zimbabwean batsmen succumbed. Question is will this be effective against stronger teams? Remember, the stronger teams will have batsmen that rotate the strike better and hit good deliveries away for boundaries. So I'm not completely sold on him yet as I want to see him against better teams but it's still a very good performance by him and hope he keeps it up

I wonder if the 'M' and 'H' in M.H Rubel stands for Mosharraf Hossain therefore making it him Mosharraf Hossain Rubel. You play cricket for Dhaka Gladiators M.H Rubel bhai???

Well bowled, buddy. Keep it up and become an essential part of our ODI and T20I squad. Heck, maybe tests someday

Yeah.
In the whole series he is bowling really well. It seems he is becoming the old bowler Zia.
I am happy to reconsider my early assesment.

Better teams will play him better, no doubt. But, he will not go for 6-7 rpo that we are used to seeing from our pacers if he can bowl to a plan. He swings the ball out and cuts the ball in; these likely baffled the batsmen.

The question is, will the selectors go back to their intrinsic mode of thinking, as soon as they have the chance.

Zia came in the team as a batting allrounder, but has contributed mostly with the ball. Now is the time to cause some damage with the bat.

The thing about Zia that has impressed me a lot is that he tries his level best to maintain that line and length right outside the off-stump i.e the corridor of uncertainty. Haven't seen a pace bowler in the team bowl with such accuracy in a while.

Probably the last time someone bowled like him was Mashrafe back in 2007-08.

I love Ziaur.

One minute he looks like an intelligent bowler who bowls at immaculate line and length and then next minute when he is batting he reminds me of a lost cause who doesn't know what he is doing.

He did end up giving away 65 runs in his 10 overs against SL. Of course it'll be different because he'll have much more confidence now. Interested to see if he can do well against NZ this fall. I'm sure he can do well but it'll be a bigger challenge.
