lol, @ Simon. You play according to the match situation. Your mentality should be never over until it is over. Especially in Test cricket where you can have points even if you can't win a game and not lose.

International players needs to adapt to playing situations. 4/5 wickets in first session of batting makes sure you can't win. Doesn't make sure you lose though.

Why play shots that has even remote amount of RISK attached? Can any SL bowlers get an international world traveled batsman, at their home condition, on a flat pitch, out unless he (batsman) gives it away or umpires wants to catch an early flight? How many chances did the SL batsmen give in their entire innings of 700+ runs?

No. Free meal at the dressing room does stay hot if I stay for a longer period at the crease. Jotto shob.

Tamim came to ground today. Insider source says he had some good continental breakfast at Radisson. After that he demanded some deshi breakfast specifically porotha and gorur bhuna. Radisson said it is not time for lunch yet and Tamim danced down the dining hall in style and stepped into a bus. He thought it will take him to Mohakhali and he will find some eateries there. But then realized it was the team bus going to SBNS. He then had to spend entire day at the stadium with no food. What a waste of Day 4!! What a waste indeed.

Although there is no real replacement for Tamim, I feel he should be dropped as some sort of a punishment. No player should have free ticket by any means necessary. And this will also make Tamim realize that he made a big mistake and from next time onwards he will work harder.

What was needed in the second innings was a 20 off 478 balls by Tamim, a 14 off 222 balls by Shamsur, a 46 off 342 ball by Marshal, and a 18 off 320 balls from Mominul; this would have been enough to draw the match.

Tamim's Approach?

Sucks. Atleast in this TEST.

From the get-go Tamim did not seem comfortable in the 1st test. He plays well against bowlers that are rated higher than Lakmal and Eranga but he fell to a shot that was unnecessary. When Tamim falls with a low score it creates a psychological pressure on the middle order. I think we need to insert Mushy at No. 3 because that is what all other teams do and the reason is having some to make up for the early loss and last until lunch. Looking at Mushy now I feel that he has matured enough to play at No. 3; I however do not know how well he plays the new ball.
In Chittatgong test (assuming it would be a less bouncy and spin-friendly track) the instruction to our openers should lasting until lunch time and playing no risky shots. As for bowlers do not bowl on the leg side at all

Did they not learn anything from the Sri lankan batsmen?? What is the logic behind charging a spinner when close of play is near? Do the other test teams' batsmen play with this similar attitude? When we are the lowest ranked test team we should have played to let other admire our fight (provided we played like a test team) .

I admire Tamim's moxie and devotion. His loyalty to egotism, thoughtlessness, Benson & Hedges, and the Kachchi-Mezbani combo is unique amongst international cricketers. Our country ain't worthy of his greatness. He feels entitled because let's face it, he IS entitled. We fans are just little people.

terrible for tests and a bad role model for other players who are new to the side...A top order batsman in a test should play like one

i hope that the team management and coaches sat with tamim and had a very long chat with him regarding his batting approach. Would be Surprise to see if he bats like a test batsman, and like the talented batsmen that he is.
