we could have dropped him and picked up sunny for this test series.
what he should have done is saying NO to champions trophy and use that time for recovery. National matches and especially test matches are very important to us and he is a key player that we can't miss for us to have a chance.

I think that should be reason enough for other countries to play BD more often as almost all of their players will get a chance to set new records against us.. They can boost their stats so easily...

I want to believe that we can avoid following on.

But the thoughts of our players wetting their pants and playing T20 shots are in my head.

we have three specialist batsmen who are candidates for no 8 batsmen

1. mahmudullah: introducer of the thoery, was very successful at no 8

2. naeem: when mahmudullah got a promotion, naeem got the chance here. did well in a partnership with shakib against england in a game where after a good partnership which was looking to be a match saving was blown when shakib tried to hit a six of the bowling of tradewell. naeem contributed well in that game at no 8 and had few other decent innings at that position.

3. nasir: the latset sensation whi has finished well in some ODI innings for BD is now favourite for that specialist batsman at no 8 slot.

4. just as i was writing i found a Darkhorse for the position. Sharapova Rajib, who has played well in same nightwatchman innings for BD can be a potential dark horse for this no 8 position and thus demote naeem or nasir to no 9 and thus explore the opportunity of having a specialist batsmen at no 9

True. We're also very good at boosting the confidence of fringe cricketers and making them better players in the process.

hopefully he'll play a lot more than 20. it's his debut, he had to open the bowling of the first innings of his first test as a spinner and he's taken 3 out of 4 wickets and contributed to the 4th wicket by taking the catch.

Seriously guys, the T8 countries should pay to play us.

Sammy declares. This confidence in his bowlers may backfire.
