Question why is junaed not in the team

Bd played 2 matches in this 20-20 WC and several warm up ones including those in kenya tournament few days ago. Not in a single match, Junaed featured. I find it completely confusing, there were threads here about how good junaed is and he is our so called "best 20-20 player". How come then he cant even find a place in the team..... and not even once??

Whats makes it even more confusing, Bd is really struggling with openers. Tamim can hit a few 4s and you know he is riding on his luck nearly every shot he plays. Nazim after a fabulous innings against Pak has contributed nothing so far in this WC. Even in a 20-20 match you need something of substance from your openers, you need atleast a technically sound but an aggressive opener who can hold his end and then unleashes when the situation presents. Aftab and Ash wont deliver the goods everytime. Then how come junaed is not in the team

Or is there something going on between Ashraful and junaed, our captain fantastic simply doesnt like him?? or is it that junaed cant bowl?? we have kapali in the team playing purely as a batsman because not once ash asked him to bowl. And then we have reja, who is basically a "hit me" bowler. So we can afford both of them purely as batsmen, yet we cant find a place for junaed??

what do you think why juaned is not in the team?

Cricinfo has Junaid instead of Nazim in the preview for tomorrow's match.

Poor poll choices....
Anyways, people are suggesting we rest Alok and bring Junaid. Junaid is an opener from what i gather, and the people we can rest is probably Nazimuddin or tamim, allowing Junaid a chance. Nazimudddin looks out of sorts...I say Junaid should get a go today.

And Alok should be replaced immediately. Nadif should definitely be drafted into the playing 11 this match.

Just 3 20-20 match and you are saying Nazim is out of sorts and you want to give chance to Junaid who didnt even play in the whole tour.Nazim was the one who scored brilliant 50s against Pak and Scotland.

totally agree with cricketboy....give nazim a little more time...we know what he can do...if we can give Ash endless chance because of his potential, then why not Nazim....he proved a little bit what he is capable of ......and as for Alok....his sorry *** should be replaced by Nadif/Junaid (don't care, opener-middle order doesnt matter in this version of the game)...seriously....he is a guy with tremendous potential but if you stay on crease to play over 30 balls and still not manage to smack the ball around, then you don't deserve to be in the 20-20 team.....

I don't think that we should lose hope on Alok in ODI's or Test matches but he might not be well suited for the T20 matches.

I think we should bring in Junaid in #5, in place of Alok, but I'm not sure team management will want to experiment in our first game of the 2nd round, against Australia of all teams. I also think that we should keep our opening pairs for atleast tomorrow's match to see how they perform.

Mate have you seen him play this tournament? He is out of sorts, well, so far anyway. He seems a little shaky - maybe world cup nerves are getting to him. Either way, one of the openers have to go. We need a proper start against any team, especially Australia.

Perhaps the selectors are trying to get tricky and leave their 'secret weapon' to more important matches like tonight? lol.

i am almost sure now something is going on between ashraful and junaed. how can a captain keep someone away because of his personal dislike ?? it wont be surprising Bd will lose all 3 of the matches and Ashraful will play the same team. and he will keep on playing useless kapali and reja. can you find any logic at all?? ashraful shouldnt be the captain, i am disgusted
