Javed Omar - he deserve more threads than Rahim
I can't believe there is not even one thread about him.
Rahim had more than 20.

Fans have been trying to get rid of Javed Omar for years - can't play the swing ball, can't play this, can't play fast enough, etc. As always, Javed shows his class.
I think it is suicide to send him home for the one day matches.

Yea. He exceeded my expectation in this tour.
He is more valuable player in out test team than I thought. On the other hand two nafis disapointed me a little bit

2 nafis? Shahriar Nafis is a just another teenager who somehow finds himself on a Test touring squad. What made you have so much hope in players with no real first class experience in the first place - just because they happened to tour england a year ago?

Where are the JO-haters?
JO is among the two best performers with Khaled Masud.

We Bangladeshi Fans need to stay alive based on something. Some people hope old recycled product will take you to the dream land, whereas some people dream about new wave of inexperienced players will take you in the dream land. Both are day dreaming.
My disapointment with the other Nafis (abir) was he couldn't performed well in the warm-up matches against the county clubs. Whether they are finally selected or not (in the final 11), every one in this tour has a goal and expectation individually and from fans (whether if they play in test or warm up match).

There's no need to have disspointment with Abir. He is a young player and learned from being on this tour. We should have zero expectations of him - let his game come along and in time he will get plenty of opportunities.
JO with 60* just crossed hannan sarkar's 59 as top score by BD against Eng

Please don't start threads about dropping JO if he fails in next few matches.
I never thought Ash is such a talent!!

You may have no expectation from Abir. . But for myself, I had higher expectation from him in this tour. And I believe now is the time for him to show if he is ready or not. In future he may get more opportunity or may not (due to bad form or more competition from other younger player). who knows. I don't know future and I don't want to predict one. What I know in sports is you get only limited time and limited opportunity. And unless can use it (in any capacity) it may not be a good omen to one's career. Thats all.

JO has played well the whole series although he didnt get to make big scores before this innings. he was the only batsman apart from Pilot who had some clue about how to play the English pacers.
Congrats to JO! hes got a new fan in me

The people from this forum changes their color like Ash's batting...
Some wanted JO out before the series started...same goes for Sujon..I think, he'd have been a good player for the team...same goes for Bulbul.. U need experience in the middle to guide the youngstar like Ash, Nafees. I dont think Ash wud have played that if he was playing w/ bulbul or some sort....

My comment was based on this tour so far which include warmup matches. As I said before, all the players (including the reserve) have some role and goal. In that aspect both of them disaponted me in different level.

Trust me he would. Even he would played with Gavaskar, the result would be same. The quality of grey materials between the ears suddenly doesn't change like a miracle.

I just have a heartfull of thanks for JO!
The only few balls that Ash played today with sense was due to the 'On-Field-Instant-JHARI' from JO!..
And themoment Ash decided not to listen to the 'Old-Haggard' he played a 'Glorious Shot' to show is level of temperemant!

Javed has been the most consistant Batsman, the highest scorer, and the guy who actually led from the front in the series. Well done Man.
Thanks, you make us proud.

I agree. Javed has been a pleasent surprise indeed in this tour so far. I just hope he can keep scoring runs in the ODIs. He can play the dual role of either scoring quick runs or playing it slowly according to the team demand. He has shown that he can do both and i am indeed hoping he does well in the ODIs. He has braved many a bad innings already and maybe this is the series that puts him right.
His wife must be thrilled... She has been backing him all the time. Bhabi power...
