Default Australia vs England

BICHEL had to have made some kind of agreement with the cricket gods. It was him alone that beat the England (England still goes through if Pakistan beats Zimbabwe).

First, he takes 7 of the 8 wickets to fall. 7 for 20 off 10 overs.

However, England bite back with Caddick and co and Australia were reduced to 8 for 135, still needing 73 runs to win from 74 balls. 135 for 8 folks, you'd think Australia would give up since it doesn't matter if they win this match or not.

Well, Bichel did care, he couldn't let his bowling go to waste, with one of the world's all-time best one day player (Bevan) on his side, Bichel made short work of the target and saw Australia through with 2 balls to go.

I wonder if it's just the label. What if we start calling the bangladesh team Australia - you think that would help us out ?

Exactly!!! It is the label!

Tehsin Bhai just discovered what Professor Humayun Azad wrote so eloquently in his "Probad O Probochon"( A compilation of his own idioms consistent with current Bengali reality) book years ago:

"Rabindronath, Nazrul, Bankim and Madhusudan - they were not Bengalis. Bengalis are by nature idle and devoid of creativity. It is more probable that Rabindranath was a German, Nazrul a Persian, and Madhusudan an English. Otherwise, you can't really explain how they came to accomplish such monumental feats."

I hope everyone has his/her irony-detector up and running.
