I dont think Shahadat will be in, they will play Rasel and Mash as two pacers, Razzak will be a spinner and I feel that Reza should be given a chance. Now Rafique will also be a good spin option.

I think Shahadat will play in the ODIs as he's doing good in Tests. But it will be worse if he plays.
Rasel is our Best ODI player but I guess Siddons will go for more pace

Shahadat is not that effective in ODIs. He's excellent in Test cricket.
Rasel should play in all the ODIs.

I want the following 15 selected for the ODI series:
Tamim I
Junaed S
M Rahim
S Nafees
M Ashraful
Sakib H
Aftab A
Farhad R
Mashrafee M
A Razzak
S Rasel
Reserves : Rajin S, M Riyad, Dhiman G, Shahadat H
Few notes:
* Rahim goes at 3 if the first wicket falls early.
* Aftab goes at 3 if the opening partnership is a monsterous one: need to keep up the scoring.
* Now that Nafees has lost his opening slot to Junaed, he needs to solidify a middle order position ASAP.
* 3 seamers, 2 spinners for bowling, with Aftab and Ashraful bowling part-timers if necessary. M Riyad can replace Farhad, depending on the pitch condition.

I'd probably go with the same line up as Mahir with the same reasoning.
If Rafique's not retiring, I wouldn't mind dropping Nafees for him either - we have enough batsmen in this team as it is.

Mahir doesn't have a bad squad, though i wouldn't mind seeing raqibul hasan in the squad instead of saleh and i'd probably swap rahim with dhiman.

Don't see what Riyad did to deserve a call to the ODI team. His performances are mediocre even in highly depleted NCL matches or in recently concluded twenty20 matches.
If the selectors want to keep a spinner on the bench, I would go for Mosharraf Hossain. Besides taking more wickets, Mosharraf also scored more runs than Riyad did in NCL.

Much too early for Raqibul to hit the national frame, isn't it ? He's got lightyears ahead of him. Will get ton of opportunities too. I chose Rajin to remain as one of the reserves simply because of his fielding abilities, in case we need a 12th man sub in.
Also, including Dhiman in the 15-man squad will put enough pressure on Rahim to perform with the bat. I'm counting on him (Rahim) to take that positively and rule Dhiman out of contention, given that Dhiman is infact selected in the 15.
About Riyad... he gives us the off-spin variety that we so badly lack. He had a good Sri Lanka tour. Mosharraf is uncapped, and that's all I'd say about him. At the end of the day, it wouldn't matter if either of these two, if selected to play in the XI, can give a good return with the ball. Their batting would be bonus.

agree 100% . shahadat keeps giving shot pitch balls in ODI.. give away too much runs. but if rafiq is not there, i think we have to make all three pacers to play.. otherwise we will be short with one bowler..
Masrafee
Russel
Shahadat
Razzak
Sakib
1/2 overs can be tried by Aftab or Ashraful.. mm.. i think our fobbish selectors are thiking of Alok Kapali as their 5th bowler.

You really like Dhiman and Raqibul. I think we shouldn't draft Raqibul yet, he will be one of the best middle order batsman if bcb nurture him well, let him play first class match for another couple of years or so. I would give dhiman a chance in odi, he already played sufficient first class matches to be drafted in odi, but not test yet

nah not too early for raqbiul to be in a national one-day squad, doesn't have to play, just being there should be a helpful experience for him, test squad on the other hand he does need more time. as for rahim imo he's had enough chances in ODIs, dhiman has done a really good job in NCL one-day cricket and his style suits one-dayers much more than rahim's does. i'm not expecting dhiman to be in the team or even the squad and the same goes for raqibul, but i think they're ready to be in the one-day squad. naeem islam is another player who is worth consideration.
i won't be disappointed if raqibul doesn't get picked for the squad because yeah it's true he hasn't played that much cricket but he's in good form and is one of the best one-day batsmen in bangaldesh atm which is why i think he deserves a place if he gets one.

I like this team actuallly. I think Farhad is a good option to be a 5th bowler and we've seen that his pace has improved lately, so he can be used as the third pacer. I may change the batting lineup a little but I like the starting 11.
