Why bother?
Let them bash to their hearts' content! When our current team comes of age in a few years and we start making records against them rather then them against us, we'll have our say!

Actually that guy made a lot of good points. We were, and still are against stronger opponents, strugling miserably most of the time.
You might disagree with him; but he is anything but an idiot.
Some might argue that BD got test status prematurely, and I to some extend do agree with that, but now that we already have it; it would be absolutely unreasonable and unacceptable for any sort of compromise in our status.
You can argue with him yourself, there is no need to gang up against everyone we disagree with in every cricket forum in the world.

This SJS may proclaim himself as the Cricketing God (really!!) but he is nothing other than a barking hounding dog (his picture ).
The fact remains that our weak (according to SJS) Bangladesh Team beat their mighty (according to SJS) Indian team in the ODI. And then there was Mohammad Ashraful beat the crap out of every Indian Bowlers with his unbeaten 156 runs. What does he has to say about that?

My my lot of other nation cant stand the improvement of Bangladesh team. We are proud and we should be real proud that we won by our own ability. I want to tell those people who hates to see us win that we played under neutral umpire to win the series. We all know the reputation of Indian umpires when they use they officiate the game in INdia, India used to play with 13 players. So I would tell those Bangladesh bashers to shut up and wait till we kick your *** in near future..oops:.oops:

Remember in the 80s how Sri Lanka were painfully inadequate (exactly like us) against other teams. Just wondering, did they have the same kind of minnow bashing in the MEDIA (who cares what some dumbo on a message board says) back then as we do now?

There was no internet back then and people then followed cricket on radio and discussed cricket verbally, so such scrutiny was not there.
As far as Sri Lanka are concerned they played A matches for a long time with other teams and they were quite competitive in these matches. In addition they used to play against Tamilnadu Ranji team in an annual match for what was called as M.J.Gopalan trophy. When they got their test status, no one questioned it to the best of my knowledge because they were widely acknowledged to be the strongest associate member of ICC and were considered ripe for test status.
