Bryan Adams, woohoo!
Nothing against Beiber. He has his place in pop culture and unlike most others from his genre he's pretty talented and has a pretty good sense of humor. Its just the first name that popped into my head while replying. view360's comment just seemed in line with the teenie bopper mentality .

which gaye holud are you talking about?..let me see the proof...My friend's getting married...

jokes aside....it is ridiculous of you to say such a thing about a big artist like Bryan Adams...We should be grateful that he accepted to perform...

Since we all have a penchant for common 'khazure alap' perhaps this would more be an FC thread? =)

Nothing gets BC together like bashing someone who hates Bryan Adams.

Those were the best days of my life...back in the summer of 69

^ Well everybody stopped bashing our players (mostly ashraful) because of the coach's request, so we have to take it out on someone.

I don't think people here would have lashed out at him if he simply said he didnt like Bryan Adams... taste, as you said, is subjective. The point however is that its better to do your homework before calling a veteran musician like Brian Adams a Z list celebrity. Ignorance can never be a viable excuse

I think y'all are going overboard in ganging up on view360 here. So you like Bryan and he doesn't. Man - if only we could get as worked up as something more important. Heck, I like Bryan Adams, bought his album (cuts like a knife) and even danced to his tunes in High School dances. Yes, I am an old foagie. But I don't get all uppity if someone rags on him. Whoop dee doo. Now, if you dis my man Richie Blackmore, I'll be all over you like Barry Bonds on crack.

I really wanted to have (Shoto Asha) Shunno and (Cryptic fate) Cholo Bangladesh performance in the opening Ceremony...I undestand that other singers will sing to represent our culture but bangla modern rock is not considered especially when we have so many young generation cricket lovers...i bet lots of them won't mind with bangla rock music

I have to admit that I was a Bryan Adams fan when I was a kid in BD, but he's so not relevant these days...

In the US/UK (and even Canada), he's basically a joke outside of his hardcore fanbase.

But, I suppose since western pop-cultural tastes in the subcontinent are usually 1-2 decades behind the west, it makes sense...

More importantly, what theme song will they be playing for us when we hit a boundary or grab a wicket? It better not be the lame-arsed official World Cup song thats all over the radio airwaves!

We need something Totally F***ING pumped... like Cholo Bangladesh and DewDrops' Chol Chol Chol when we're a bit down in the middle of play!

p.s: goru, I read that. Lets see if others take it for what you saw it to be.

Considering the state of mainstream music these days, I think I'm fine with that. I dread the 2020s and 2030s though.

I think we have to begin actively searching for the parents of the soon to be born Bangladeshi Justin Bieber and break them apart...
