DS says that wright has taken up a job in the Australian center for Excellence... If that is ture then McInnes s likely to take up our job. Some kinda of a confirmation from BCB would be nice

yeah, we spoke too soon in another thread only to find out that it was not quite true. DS said couple days ago that BCB will announce the name of the new coach by June 2nd, isn't it too early to have any kind of declaration? I think it's more of a speculation than anything. But I think McInnes will be invloved with BD cricket for sure, whether as a main coach or an assistance coach, either way it's a good news.

New Age reports

Wright could be next academy coach
Cricinfo John Wright, the former New Zealand opener and India coach, is strongly tipped to become Tim Nielsen’s replacement as the head coach at the Centre of Excellence. The Sydney Morning Herald reported that Wright was a late entrant in the race for the Brisbane-based role.
The paper said that two weeks ago, Cricket Australia had trimmed their list down to Trevor Bayliss, the New South Wales mentor, and Tim Coyle, who guided Tasmania to the Pura Cup this year.
However, Bayliss has reportedly dropped out of the race so he can stay with the Blues, while Coyle was crossed off the list last week.
Wright was spotted in Brisbane speaking to CA officials around the time Coyle was eliminated.
If he is given the nod, he will also take over as the coach of Australia A.
Wright coached Kent from 1997 to 2000 and India from 2000 to 2005.
He was considered a candidate for the vacant Pakistan and Sri Lanka positions but has apparently ruled himself out of the race to replace Tom Moody at Sri Lanka.

Hahaha Dainik Dinkal is a joke of a newspaper, even though I'd love for this news to be true.

There's no point speculating. News is BCB will announce it in June 2, so all we can do is wait. Unless someone can get the info from inside.

Damn, that is such a bad news!!!

Confused?

Since Doinik Dinkal said it, it can't be true (McInnes is not the next BD coach). But I really want him as the next coach.

If we really can get Richard McInnes as our coach, it would be the best! He did a tremendous job for our U19 players when he was in charge! He would be coaching a few of them again in the present test team!

can't see what is new here!.. it has to be between Siddons and RM..or both. Given the top class player stature Siddons used to enjoy, not to mention the coaching experience, it is likely that McCinnis will be the assistant.. this is how it was reported earlier.. if McCinnis is the head coach.. off course we are not getting Siddons.. we will definitely need batting coach then.... It will really be a news if it turns out to be someone else.. If we can rope in Siddons, we may not even need a fielding coach, let alone batting..

yeah, a siddons-mcinnes pair doesn't sound bad at all.

btw, we already have a fielding coach. salahuddin shaheb

Dean Jones is busy with the ICL ( the new Indian league a la Packer ) as an organizational admin. job. So, he was never in contention..
