Fielding setup differ from test to oneday. It also differ from bowler to bowler.

i've seen as many as 10 Slips in a Aus-Eng game back in the 30s!

Another point to note is that the fielding positions Long Stop and Straight Hit are no longer regarded as legal. Umpires have the right to call no-ball if they think that a fielder is in the same line as the pitch, they can be on either sides of the pitch but not on the same line!
Also Fly Slip is still used these days by a couple of teams.

Dennis Lilly said he never set 9 slips for his bowling. It is the fielder and captain made those decisions.
