I think we'll see Munna bowl soon. Wonder why SS hasn't bowled yet. He's a decent Nazmul/Rasel/Reza type bowler capable of hitting 135 on occasion.

Rony can swing the ball both ways according to SS in his PA interview. He didn't talk about pace at all. So I assume Rony's pace must be similar to most of our other guys, from 125 to 135 KMPH.

Hitting 135 kmph is very impressive for someone who is just 17! I mean only Mash back in the day, Rubel and sometimes Shafiul both above that regularly.

And Asif strikes! Good wicket.

P.S. We'll have to watch out for this Kaushal kid when we go out to bat. He's supposed to be a very dangerous off-break bowler.

Koushik used to hit 135 regularly. That was pretty much his average pace during debut against a strong Zimbabwe side led by Andy Flower at the Bangabandhu in November 2001. My company at the time was one of the sponsors of the test as well as the ODI series. Koushik could hit 140+ on occasion back then, hitting 142-143 during an over. We saw that again in the 2007 World Cup many years later.

These guys, focused on line and length with a bit of swing here and there, hit 135 on occasion. Their regular speed is between 125-130. But you're right, SS can indeed become pacier with time once the desire is there.

Soumya also got some stick in his first over. Let's hope he bounces back!

Naeem Islam JUNIOR! What an adorably idiotic custom we have to translate "chhoto" Naeem or whatever the name is to that. I doubt their fathers have the same name.

I'll be happy if we can restrict them to 250 and hope a couple of our other batters will support SS and Ratul unlike the Qatar match. SL usually put together a balanced side on all levels and I won't be surprised if they bat deep.

SL is very well placed at the moment.
We need couple of quick wickets very badly.

Finally, a much needed wicket.
This should slow things down a bit.
