Being from Desi area, where there's mix of South Asians, I grew up seeing my elders use to watch Hindi films, It was a UK desi thing to do. I use to watch Bollywood films before allot (hence, know, Hindi so well, understand really high % of it, can speak too), and enjoyed it, it has its own flavour
(well it did before until it started trying to over-wannabe-western, you know what I mean)
I loved some movies of the 90s especially late 90's, and early 2000's, some the beautiful heart touching films/songs like many, few to name from Dulhaniya Dulhan Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Still, enjoy some musics.
But to me Bollywood lost its Indian/Desi/Subcontinental Identity, look at the way the Indian actresses dress today and look back in the 90's, early 2000's was lot different and traditional. That's just one of the many reasons, why it's lost its true identity.
anyway going back to the topic. Some these BD actors want to keep it ban because Bollywood will Hindify BD? LOL do they not know Indian channels are easy to get in BD? drama serials are watched by huge amount. So, where is the question of Bollywood will destroy? Get real.. its 2015, people want to see good entertainment. We have smart phones know, before we didn't, things are easy to get on line now than ever before. THESE retards are just lame, stopping BD film industry grow too...they make such poor quality stuff- Now, don't give me ''Oh we don't have budge'' stuff!
And, the biggest hypocrisy is that most them copy Salman Khan and Bollywood films
You know which actor copies lol. Why copy them if you dont want their influence? LOL.
ITS ALL to safe their jobs. But, come on.. even in Ind , they show Hollywood movies, you don't hear Bollywood saying. ''Hollywood will wipe out our culture or business. as Hollywood is so popular'' or any one else for that matter.
Bollywood, coming into the cinemas of BD will improve the standards of BD films. Don't starve the people of enjoying a good entertainment!
Salmana, Sharukh, Aamir have huge followings in BD. I remember I went to BD first time in 2004, I was 14, Tere naam movie was big hit everywhere where I been, people started copying hairstyle (Even I did lol) clothes of that film were being sold. etc, u know how it works.
Lets just say... allow it, enjoy it openly. As, they are already watching it on their tv's, dish channels.
I bet if there was a vote more than 80% of the public would say they want to see Bollywood movies being released in BD. Heck, even Paks allow it despite many wars they had with Ind and historically being anti-Ind.
Come on, some people get real.
