Wow that was some interview.. thanks for the link.. I'm glad Mr.Galloway speaks out for the innocent victims in Lebanon as he did for Iraqis and other Muslims around the worlds.. He's fully entitled to express his opinion and support for Hezbollah, at least he said nothing to justify the killing of innocent Israelis/civilians. Everyone should watch the video, he made several good points, including Israel's illegal occupation of Lebanon for the past decade and Hezbollah's resistance of driving the Israeli's out.

Went to his lecture here at U of T. Very outspoken and left leaning, echoes the way I feel about many issues. But he's got a horrible attendance record at the House of Commons apparently.

Would you mind telling us why you think he is a nutcase? I think rebel is a better word.

But anyway, the newscaster was extremely annoying interrupting and attacking back as if its in her place to debate with him....just question him and move on...they never interrupt those that backs israel's action

What I should have said was - 'he's a presenters nightmare'.

The presenter, on the other hand, was very stubborn.

I loved his little tirade towards the end though.

So sad, but how true.

He's always got a tirade. He's the MP from Bethnal (Green?) in London.... encompasses the Tower Hamlets community to the best of my knowledge. A lot of his votes come from you-know-where. But I digress: I came to know about him last year when he showed up in front of some Senators/Congressmen's hearing against him, and launched a tirade on their "remarkably cavalier attitudes on justice"... it got him 15 min of fame, but I followed up coz I'm a bored s-o-b*.

(*or maybe coz I'm a poli sci student. whatever)

man..just watched the video..WOW..this guy got some balls.. to come out and speak like that in Sky and rightly so, attacking the bimbo presenter.
he did certainly have very good, valid and reasonable points... infact those r the naked truth that the media is tryin to hide.

never heard of that guy before.. but surely wud remember his name now and wud keep an eye on his future activities...

Thanks reverse_swing, that's a very interesting article and surely an eye-opener. Everyone should have a read...

Even some of the readers have valid points. While the Pro-Israeli retards have nothing better to say than criticise the author and insult other readers instead of debating the article.

Thanks Abd. The anchor looks like a pimp. But the last line by Mr Galloway is a killer."you don't give a damn. ....you don't know a single name..but you know each and evry one of the israeli soldier killed....Israili blood is more valuable than that of Palestiney or Lebanese"
RS thank you for the excellent piece. I was actually reading the comment and find out how israili supporters are started a personal attack againest Mr Monbiot

All the people speaking against him made personal attacks and not a single argument against his article. You can look at Monbiot's personal website also.

thebest bhai, you can try to buy these two books:The Age of Consent and Captive State: The Corporate Takeover of Britain by Monbiot. Highly recommended by rs

Just read this. This would enlighten you why Americans are pro-Israeli. This is from Economist certainly not a pro-palestine newspaper

The article is filled with painful reality that one would hope were never true.

"Opinion polls confirm that Americans are solidly on Israel's side. A USA Today/Gallup poll conducted on July 28th-30th showed that eight in ten Americans believed that Israel's action was justified"

What else can you expect from those blind and ignorant trash that elected a pig like Bush? Whatever happened to those people saying war on Iraq was a mistake and America shouldn't get involved again? These people clearly have brains the size of a pea and memory shorter than a goldfish!

"Religious-right activists are trying to convert this latent sympathy into political support. John Hagee, a Texas televangelist who believes that supporting Israel is a “biblical imperative”, recently founded Christians United for Israel."

Just shows there is even unity between the Christians and Jews and nothing whatsoever for Muslims. To them Muslim lives are not important and anything Islamic is terrorism. We can't blame them, when all they hear everyday are lies, all they see are depictions of Arabs/Muslims as terrorists, and all they seek is their own peace in their terms, even if it costs thousands of innocent Muslim lives to the contrary of those few Israelis or Americans.

In my opinion, Americans (westerners to be more general) have dislike for anything that's Arab and Islamic. All the more after September 11. To them Arabs are barbaric, religious fanatic, marries 20 wives, abuses women, soaked in oil rich money and whatever negetive thoughts a mind can generate. Therefore, people will tend to go for the other group which is Jews and Israelis.

Just like Hatebreed said above, these people have the brains of the size of gold fish and their dislike for Islam and Arabs runs to the point where they dont care how much their votes are costing the Innocent victims around the world, from South Lebanon to North Vietnam.

When you live in a nutshell called the United States of America, then i guess you live in a different planet. Funny how a nation with highest number of satellites, channels, internet connections etc can be so narrow minded and out of touch with reality.

Those of you watching Fahrenheit 9/11, remember Britney Speare's statement? "Honestly, I think we should just trust our president in every decision he makes and should just support that, you know, and be faithful in what happens." I guess every americans think like that.

two very powerful reports... thanks guys..
but the problem is.. this sort of reports would surface from time to time, but still a vast majority would still be ignorant and completely oblivion to things happening around the world.

too shame, we might live in at the greatest peak of our modern civilization, but never so ignorant .
