(Yet another Urban Legend) Important! Please Read Immediately!
I HOPE YOU'RE NOT DOING THIS!!! Never, ever answer a cell phone while it is being RECHARGED!! A few days ago, a person was recharging his cell phone at home. Just at that time, a call came in and he answered it with the instrument still connected to the outlet. After a few seconds,
electricity flowed into the cell phone unrestrained and the young man was thrown to the ground with a heavy thud. His parents rushed to the
room only to find him unconscious, with a weak heartbeat and burnt fingers.
He was rushed to the nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival. Cell phones are a very useful modern invention. However, we must be aware that it can also be an instrument of death.
here are a few pictures of that incident:
Never use the cell phone while it is hooked to the electrical outlet!

Another lame urban legend. You do know that most of these chargers convert the input electrical flow to a much lower output current and it is also a direct current? Most chargers convert the input current into a much lower and safer current(although it will now have a higher ampere). Had it not been for the conversion, the cell phones would not survive the direct 110-220v current. Don't just take other 's word for granted. Do a bit research yourself.

Although I can understand the reasoning behind renaming the thread title, it wasn't the right thing to do.

Can u tell me is it good/ok to charge the cell phones all night or is it bad for the cell phones? I thought the new adapters stops the flow once the phone is charged? any idea?

I heard (so cannot verify) that it depends on the type of phone you have.

Yes, cell phones stop charging once they're fully charged. You can see it yourself. Leave the charger on for few hours, and then your phone should show something like "charging complete" or stop the charging animation.
It applies for all modern chargers, including NiMH battery chargers.

Not sure, because I was told (by our telecom rep) that Motorolla Razr has issues if you leave it on charge all night. My wife's phone got screwed coz of that.

well i have left my phones (all kind cheap to expensive ones) connected all night. No problem until one of my charger for the razor went bad. So now i am leaving the charger disconnected when not in use(the one that went bad was connected all the time)...
