Not surprised. They've been wanting to do this for a while now. I think way back in 2010 they had this idea of scrapping the CT.

This sport is a joke. 3 world cups in every 4 year cycle, for a sport that's competitively played by 10 teams. The whole thing just feels like a circus that visits every year

It honestly feels like there are some 5 years old kids making up these rules. Also just read recently every team got the t20 status in the world.
