Shamim's commentary is so annoying....and surprisingly uninformed for someone who has been a commentator for so long.

I really like the team fielded vs Afg much better than the one against SL. But I am biased, as I rate Afif and Shamim highly.

But after all these years, how has Con found his way back behind the stumps? Why doesn't any new skilled wicketkeeper get half the number of chances Con got to establish himself in the team?

But then again, Con only bats well if he keeps, ahh, so much frustration trying to straighten out this team.

We needed this win obviously.

Liked how Mehedy is up the order but doubt he can continue this against a better pace line up. Also think he is still not a good spinner as he needs the cracks and does not have full control of which lengths to put the ball.

Good innings by Shanto but still needs to perform well regularly against a better pace line up as well.

Shoriful and Taskin seems to be a better combo without Mustafiz who is a write off. Not yet convinced by Hassan Mahmud as he doesnt have full control at his pace.

Fielding slight better but still at par.

Dont think Shamim AND Afif make the same team. Afif in particular isnt really a hard finisher.

What a fearless effort by the Afghans!! True soldiers and fighter in spirit. Bangladesh would have given up and wouldn't have the balls to go for it. Sri Lanka barely scraped it in with steely composure.

This was like a final match. Bravo.

BD will be playing Pakistan tomorrow. Litton in. Shanto out with injury. Some wants Bijoy. F--- no. Please. I'd much rather stick with Naim Sheikh.

Na, an inform liton is gonna smash around these overrated pak bowlers. I would worry for Miraz though if he opens. Shanto injury also is a big blow but we should still have a team who is capable even if our most inform batsman is out...

Problem is our bolods not capability. Look at Taskin - was a bolod just couple of years ago but few proper training and all of a sudden bowling world class but the bolod giri seeps in time to time.

They are not overrated for the Asian teams. Shaheen Shah is a generational bowler at least in shorter format. It's because of their bowling ability is why they still get invited to Australia from time to time even though Warner still smashes them.

Well said. I wish we win the toss and Bat first. It'll be too hard to field in such hot weather, however it'll be easier under the lights. I have no doubts its a nice ground for the batters, I am worried about players that will play long innings under the sun may fall into similar injuries. May Allah protect us.

However if we bat first, our fast bowlers will be able to bowl fresh without tiredness.

As a budding poker player trained by ChatGPT, I would say Pakistan would convincingly beat us tomorrow unless there is one of those 'upsets'. Babar + Iftikhar is just too strong of a partnership. And then their pacers.

Miraz is such a mirage. This opening batting experiment will work when the opponents dont overwhelm him.

He had the same confused face when he got out, similar to when he gets smacked for bowling short and/or wide

We need partnerships. Not some flashy fast runaway from ball 1. Litton is out. 2 down.

Small ground and fast outfield. You need 300+ runs. Trying Mehidy against Pak bowling was never a good idea.

Both batsmen got out cheaply.

Shakib seems to want to play a T20. Commie said it right: run rate not a problem and Bangladesh needs to show game sense here.

Most of our players has NO GAME SENSE even the senior ones

This Naim is an idiot trying to pull short delivery while being down 2 wicket.

That need to bring back Tamim Iqbal and open with Litton. These Naim and Miraz opening combo don't work against better bowling lineup. This is why you also need Shanto at number 3.

BD will be out of the tournament with a terrible loss today.

What's with choosing to bat first with a terrible batting lineup?
