Dhoni refuses to take Bangladesh lightly
Normal service resumes
Quote:
Asked whether Bangladesh can beat India in second Test, Dhoni said, "That is why they are playing. You should not take any side lightly in international cricket. At the end of the day it was the 10 balls that matters. There is no good reason why they (Bangladesh) should not take 20 wickets."

I have always said Dhoni is the best captain India has ever had, and is owner of one of the coolest head in world cricket. Respect Dhoni, Respect

Not yet. That would be Ganguly and Azharuddin. Dhoni still has a while to go.

not azhar ! we were pushovers outside India during his reign. the team didn't play as one unit and there was too much of quota system and regionalism.
dhoni is in the ganguly mould, confident and aggressive.

Mentally Yes. I am talking based on W/L ratio under their captaincy over a long period of time. Thats why I said Dhoni has still a long way to go. Its too early to say he is the best.
Quota system and regionalism wasn't Azhar's fault. Thats the sytem we had. I think we as a country were generally a bit mellow a couple of decades ago.

I am not saying it because what Dhoni just said about us, I said it before: Dhoni is the best Indian Captain. I was one of the guys who used to dislike Dhoni, especially when he had the long hair which even seduced the Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, but now a days I admire Dhoni for his captaincy skill and his ability to lead from front at the time of crisis.
In my book, best captains are the ones who are attacking, aggressive and can lead from front.

Ganguly, yes. Azhar NO. Ganguly was a great captain who put together the Indian team like never before. But unfortunately Ganguly was not as calm as Dhoni. And Dhoni also seems to have a better understanding of the game, IF Dhoni does not become the most successful Indian captain of all time[at the end of his career] I will be extremely surprised

Dhoni has always been one of my favourites since his boom, boom days. Now, since becoming captain, he has changed and somehow has become so dependable as a batsman. He always tries to repair the innings when India falters and in my eyes he is "Captain Cool" along with Gayle.

nay mate, azhar himself was quite biased. he was too much of an yesman to board politics and played undeserving players to curry favour with board officials in return of continuing as captain. remember ashish kapoor ? he behaved badly with a lot of senior players like sidhu and last but not the least there was the match fixing problem. yes, we have come a long way since then.

This is a lot more professional way of saying 'Bangladesh is ordinary' than the way Sewag said it ... bravo Dhoni.

Azhar was a very ordinary captain. One reason why his record was the best at that time was Tendulkar. Tendulkar was in prime form when Azhar was captain an won a lot of matches from impossible situations.
Besides, towards the second half of his captaincy, started his infamous affair with Sangeeta Bijlani. He used to bring Bijlani inside the players dressing room and the romance of the duo was not exactly the best way to motivate players in the middle of a match. He was an idiot.
Anyways, back on topic, captain clever is back and its business as usual. I have a feeling that we will win this one by an innings and 100 runs.

Dhoni is a classy captain. I have a lot of respect for the way he plays his cricket and leads his team out in the middle. He has played a major role in India's success in the recent past.
