Mossadek unfortunately is greatly disliked by Habibul Bashar.

You have to identify certain batsmen's strong points and see how they add value to the team. Mithun is freakishly good against spin. He can absolutely tear up spinners for fun.

However Mithun will naturally struggle against a pace bowling heavy team. That's why he excelled in the middle order in the Asia cup. He was playing spinners most of the time during the middle overs.

Mosaddek is good against spin, but sucks against spin when there is scoreboard pressure. Mosaddek is a master against spin in test cricket, because he doesn't have to deal with the scoreboard pressure.

Sabbir can be a very good slogger against any type of bowling in any conditions.

Yasir Ali to me has a brighter future than all the players I have named above.

This. Not a fan of Mithun. But he is hard to drop after his recent performances for the national team. Though it will be interesting to see how he fares against Boult and co. in a much more tougher condition.

In a swinging condition, you need good footwork to survive first. Occasionally, the ball also rises a lot on NZ pitches. BAN batsmen lack in both (not exactly their fault). Liton & Soumya play shots on timing mostly (zero footwork), Sabbir largely play with cross-bat, can't recall Mithun's style. These will definitely struggle, especially with the new ball.

It will again come down to Tamim & Mushy and if Mullah comes up with few heroic knocks.

From what I've seen of Mossaddek on tracks with any bounce or seam, he is a walking wicket. Leave him to the dustbowls of the subcontinent.

When did you watch him on wickets with bounce and seam?

He hit his only ODI half century in the last tour of NZ hitting guys like Southee and Ferguson around quite well.

Anyone but Shaiful Islam....It will be embarrassing to see him even on the sidelines dressed up in a Kombol/Blanket while watching the game!

Shabbir's inclusion IMO wasnt a wise one as he is bad influence in the dressing room. But since the hack is in the squad, I have had this notion of making him open in the imited formats. I doubt that will happen though.

Is that cobra dancing spinner in the team?

I will concede that this was in Australia playing T20 practice game against Sydney Thunder. He was at sea against Pat Cummins with absolutely no clue on how to play him.

I was at the ground and he looked exceptionally poor. But I suppose I should give him the benefit of the doubt for this series.

Guess I was hoping for a higher standard from our boys.

We need to work on the game plan for the third ODI. Honestly, we cannot afford to play both Mash and Saifuddin together. I feel like we are playing with 2 number three bowlers who opens our attack. We are also a spinner short. We look utterly toothless with that attack. Batsmen need to pull up their sock and hang in there through first 10-15 overs.

Here is my bowling attack:

1. Mustafiz
2. Rubel
3. Mash
4. Meraz
5. Taijul or Nayeem

Taijul is traveling with the team (As a test squad member) and should come in.

We need more stability up the order. I say bring in Mominul to give him some practice ahead of the test series. If he clicks, he will provide much needed stability up the order.

Batsman for me:

1. Tamim
2. Soumya
3. Mominul
4. Mushy
5. Mithun
6. Mahmudullah/Sabbir

IMHO, this squad gives us the best chance to play a competitive match.

I hope the management won't promote Mithun based on last two matches. Batting promotions had not worked well for him in past. He is better when the ball is older.

Mithun and Sabbir scored most of the runs for Bangladesh in this series. They were the least expected players to score. Surprisingly, Saifuddin, who is a bowling allrounder, makes it on that list too.

Sabbir shuts his haters mouth with a very good knock in such condition where the seniors failed miserably.
