Default Match Thread: BD-A v Eng-A, 2nd one-day, Mirpur, 9 Mar 07

Selectors realized that BD-A was one specialist spinner short in the last match, so they recalled Enamul Jr in the team. Dollar Mahmud is also returning to the playing eleven, while Jahurul Islam and Mohammad Shahzad are left out after their poor performences in the last one-day match.

England-A, on the otherhand, decided to prolong their batting order and picked allrounder Tim Bresnan in place of Graham Onions.

According to Prothom-Alo, Bangladesh Betar will give live commentary for both this match and the last match.

Bangladesh A-team:

Mehrab Hossain Jr
Junaid Siddique
Nazimuddin
Tushar Imran (Cpt)
Saghir Hossain (WK)
Farhad Reza
Nadif Chowdhury
Manjarul Islam Rana
Dollar Mahmud
Nazmul Hossain
Enamul Haque Jr

England A-Team:

Will Jefferson
Michael Carberry
Nick Compton
Matt Prior
Alex Gidman
Michael Yardy (Cpt)
Steve Davies (WK)
Alex Loudon
Tim Bresnan
Stuart Broad
James Kirtley

Venue: Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur

Weather: A mainly sunny sky. High 88F. Winds light and variable (Yahoo)

And we blame Zim, WI for not being tech savvy.

I like this team much better. The batting is still strong enough considering there are 8 good ODI batsman in the team. Now with the addition of one more spinners, specially Emanul Jr, will make a big difference this time against Eng-A.

Nazmul, Dollar, Enamul and Rana will consume between 36 to 40 overs.
Farhad, Mehrab & Tushar can consume the remaining.

Same old story- both of the openers gone early.

Ban A 15/2 Over - 7 Mehrab 0, Junaeed 5, Tushar 2*, Nazimuddin 8*

Bangladesh- A won the toss and elected to bat first.

-TC

I wonder why Tushar always wants to bat first !

It's probably high time the management should send Mehrab back in the middle order. May be Tushar or Saghir can be tried as an opener in his place.
