shakibs exclusion also means that bangladesh is going to take the field with 2 valid players (tamim and nasir) and 9 extra names just to fill up the void that shakib is leaving behind ...

I pray for his complete and speedy recovery. I wonder just who the genius selectors have in mind as his replacement. Replacing our top batsman, strike bowler, fielder and on field strategist with a single player is no small task. Won't be surprised if MS ShuVo gets a go. Mehrab "Junior" is the other option ...

I was thinking about Nazza! or Aftab. With Nasir underutilized as a spinner, we could use the extra pace and fielding ability.

if i was the Head Coach i would have dropped shakib for two matches after that shot.

at that moment it looked like shakib was playing for himself and not thinking about his team. there was always the next day for the century. i understand the injury but at least staying not out would have ended the for bangladesh in a high, whereas WI ended the on a high

I have a funny feeling that Ashraful will be picked but that's due to the fact that he can bowl some tidy spin at times.

Praying for his smooth and complete recovery.
Take as much time as you need Shakib.

me also think so too.

seriously speaking, it's a BIG BLOW.
Its only in ODIs that we challenge big teams and occasionally win ,
and keeping in mind about our last ODI series where Sakib was the MoSeries, without him we will surely be on back foot.
